A blog of my Minecraft builds and things! The first few builds I have planned are some re-imaginings of Yogscast's Tekkit contraptions. But after that, who knows?! (…Probably Asian / Steampunk inspired stuff.)

So, it has been a long time since I’ve posted anything on this blog… After more than four years I feel like the modpack I have been making for myself is at a much more balanced stage, finally… However, since that time I’ve gone through some big computer failures and other changes that mean my old build is no longer available to me.
That doesn’t matter now though since my new pack has a whole lot of custom content and ported content to work with now and I’m super excited to get back to doing this re-imaginative build!
So, this pack is kind of as close as I could get to a re-imagining the classic gameplay idea of Tekkit/Technic in a 1.7.10 environment. Though, there have been a few exceptions due to mods not bring updated, or where features are accomplished more interestingly with newer mods.
Hopefully I can actually finish this, this time.

Build Status
So, I haven’t posted anything on here in a while. But that’s not to say this project is dead! The build is now practically complete, aside from the computer automated crafting system.
However, I have been playing some of an older modpack that I’d put together for 1.6.4 lately, and it’s making me feel that I’ve done a bad job with my 1.7.10 attempt. So I’ve been back to the drawing board and rebalancing and adjusting my modpack. I hope to have it complete by Saturday / Sunday, and will then proceed to port over and finish off my Jaffa Factory build!
From there I intend to begin some work on other Yogscast locations from the Tekkit series! Probably in the following order: • Jaffa Factory • Sips Co. • Mahogany Meadows • Duncan’s Castle • Panda Labs (I know it’s not Tekkit, but I’ma do it anyway) • Owl Island

So, I've set up a Forestry Multifarm for Wheat and Sugar! I'm thinking I'll split these into two separate farms, and build a small automatic fertilizer creator in between them. The design here takes some influence from Sjin's Farm, but I mean, he worked on the Jaffa Factory, right?
Now then, an explanation of how I'm going to be doing the farming different on this build. For starters, Wheat and Sugar are going to be handled by these Multifarms! The other ingredients that I need are Cocoa Beans, Milk and Orange Dye.
I plan to set up a tree farm around where the Christmas Tree was in the Tekkit series, and use the logs from that to craft Phyto-Gen, and then use some scientific methods in the Laboratory to grow some Cocoa Beans in a sort of similar way as the Tekkit series. I then plan to use some Cursed Earth to set up a mob farm on the Laboratory level as well for a Bone Meal farm, and that will be used to grow flowers! (Similar to the Tekkit series' Wheat farm) If you're wondering why I need Orange Dye, it's for the Jaffa Cakes! Then the Milk will come from the Cow Head dairy farm… (Probably not free range. :x)
After all that is set up, it will be time to automate the crafting! :D

Work on the Eggocoaster has commenced! :D
As I did not want to ruin the displays, yet still keep in the spectacle, I've made it travel along the roof of the Cafe and jump over the head of the beer mug on the Brewery! I then made it travel up the left side of the factory, rather than the right. However, I'm not 100% pleased with this, and may revert it to traveling up the right side of the factory! Maybe traveling past the Beer Garden near ground level. Hmm…
I'm going to do some planning for the farms I need (Wheat, Sugar Cane and Tree) before I go moving it around, though..

I've been a little inactive with the Reimagined Jaffa Factory build for the past few days. The reason for that is that Thermal Dynamics and all of the other TeamCoFH mods have received a RC release! So I've been updating my server's modpack and using the opportunity to add in Flaxbeard's Steam Power Mod, do some redesigning of my own mods and edit all of the Minetweaker scripts!
This should all be finished tomorrow and work on the Eggocoaster shall commence! And I'll probably do some planning and build the Basalt Brick fence.

Not much progress the past couple of days, because most of my working hours are on the weekends. However I thought I'd share some (very WIP) pictures of my redesigned roof / penthouse for the factory!
I decided to add an open roof with a garden area, and a smaller penthouse area. I'm planning to throw Garden Stuff onto the server this week so I can add a nice little garden in the grassy area. And I'll mess around with Bibliocraft paintings to see if I can get some better paintings.
I've kept the Hot Tub, Jarvis and the Race Car Bed, albeit each one with a slight redesign! :)

So, I got bored and started messing around with the Pneumatic Craft mod. I've never used it before, but this elevator system that it adds seemed pretty dandy! So, I decided to add an elevator to the Jaffa Factory that was talked about during numerous episodes of the Tekkit series.
You know, just in case somebody accidentally condenses their Swiftwolf's Rending Gale…

More work on my Jaffa Factory re-imagining! This time focusing on Jaffahampton!
Started work on the interiors of the Cafe and Brewery/Bar! I also finished off more of the Beer Garden, and I made the cellar for the actual brewing and alcohol storage!
I plan to have an OpenComputers computer in the Cafe for ordering up some automatic crafting of coffee, tea, etc. And I haven't started on the Hot Dog Stand yet; I'm going to wait until I code Hot Dogs into my food mod before I work on it! :)

Considering the date, I figured I'd post some pictures of my old 1.6.4 world while I was working with Thaumcraft! I'd decided to build an Asian architecture inspired compound at the time after playing through the Pokémon remakes and adoring Johto's architecture (especially the towers!).
I never did finish it, and that save is sadly long gone. But I loved watching all the little straw golems run around on the farm! …Maybe I'll have to try this again.

Some initial progress at my first build on this blog, a 1.7.10 re-imagining of the Yogscast's Jaffa Factory!
This build is not designed to be block-for-block accurate to the original, but rather my own functional redesign of the factory in my 1.7.10 modpack! :D
(EDIT: I added versions that use Sphax! I have no idea why it wasn't on when I first took those snaps…)
