Blythe technically died when she was six years old. There was an accident in the lab that resulted in her dying in the ambulence on the way to the hospital, and being revived a minute later. It was this incident that resulted in Blythe being able to see ghosts without some form of cataclysm happening.

Living in New York City, Blythe has managed to find Ray's Occult Books. She visits at least once a week, if not more often. While she does go to the library just as often, the library doesn't have the same books, obviously.

"I don't expect you to believe anything," she stated, blue eyes slowly moving up from her paranormal research book to look at them. "You're free to believe whatever you like." Regardless of their beliefs, ghosts were real. Her mother, a scientist, and her aunts had faced them. Blythe had had her own experiences with the apparitions - hers more positive than her mother's.

"i'm sorry. you really expect me to believe ghosts exist?" strange question coming from someone that literally hunted werewolves and other supernatural creatures, but ghosts?

Growing up with Jillian Holtzmann as her mother was no easy fairing task. She grew up with a very unhealthy obsession with the paranormal. Her mother would often regale her with the story of how she and her friends had taken on many dozens of ghosts. Due to Jillian's influence, Blythe has become a capable scientist and inventor, often times verging on mad scientist territory.
