Hello there! I recently moved to Paris from a small town in the US.
Paris is known as a very black and white city and yet there is so much color to be seen.
Here I will be documenting all the beauty that I find along the way as a little journal for my future self to remember this time.
I hope you are inspired to look up and notice the littlest of things. All the best -Purple in Paris <3
I lost the battle against the night so I have accept the fact that I shall not know sleep this night...
Feeling inspired by the view of my open French Windows and wispy clouds painted with hues of gold and pink, the taste of an excellent cuppa of Twiggens Earl Grey, the sound of Taylor Swift’s song Peace, and the smell of the garden and the petrichor. So therefore I have decided to start writing again. It might be the sleep deprivation of sheer will of boredom until the day begins but I am excited to see where it leads me.
I would just like to document the moment when I got my first follow, my mom. Which makes sense because she was the one inspiring me to take the leap into creating this virtual “diary”. Being half way across the world from your best friend can be hard and yet I am so thankful for tools like this and FaceTime.
This is me back in December (ok... so I’m catching up on the past four months ‘cause I am now just listening to my mama’s advice).
This is a little side “court yard” area/ “street”... Anywhosies.... when being in Paris it is always important to keep your eyes peeled for the little places and instead of ignoring them GO TO THEM.
My friend and I found such a lovely Bagel Shop and got to see such a beautiful side of a building that normally would go unnoticed.
You say 'ca va' after bonjour, and then respond with 'oui'... always respond with 'oui' because if you respond with 'non' it's the beginning of the end.
A common color combination that I see throughout my days wandering this lovely city is purple and green. You can bet your mother’s favorite flowers that most cafe’s and other lil food shops will have a purple and green combination.
The thing is, me being me, the color combination makes me think of the Hulk. I mean the purple and green these places use isn’t even the most optimal shades/tones of the colors but that doesn’t stop me from trying their delectable food that they have.
I’ll post some pictures of what I mean when I see them.
