Charity:Water
Parker Modern Dentistry is a proud sponsor of charity:water, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing clean drinking water to developing nations. Not only is clean water a basic necessity, but without clean drinking water the body’s health is compromised. Unsanitary water can lead to diseases such as Cholera, Malaria and Dengue Fever, but it can also cause a different host of health problems such as tooth decay, Gingivitis and Fluorosis.
Parker Modern Dentistry and the Smile Generation network of dental offices nationwide donate consistently to charity:water, collect donations for the organization and even compete in charitable competitions such as 5K runs to raise funds for charity:water to not only provide clean water to those in need, but help underdeveloped nations build wells in these nations so their citizens have lifelong access to safe water.

Our Technology
Electronic Dental Records Parker Modern Dentistry utilizes electronic dental records which are integrated into every patient’s file. This reduces the need for paper waste, provides an extra level of security to medical files and allows our staff to pull up charts chairside, so that every patient can see their dental history and view their oral health progress in an easy to follow, clear way. Combined with our intraoral cameras and digital x-ray technology, this allows patients to view past images and x-rays and compare them with their current ones so that they can see their progress during every visit and never have to wonder whether or not their oral health is improving- it will be visible in clear, organized images that are compiled in chronological order.
IntraOral Camera More than just a diagnostic tool, our intraoral camera are invaluable education tools for patients. This tiny video camera is moved around the mouth to generate a tooth by tooth video examination of your teeth, which allows patients to have a better understanding of their needs. It allows our dentists to show each patient what they are seeing, so that they can explain clearly any issues that need addressing, and the images and video are compiled into the electronic dental records we keep, ensuring patients can view the progress of their oral health during each visit.
Digital X-Rays Our digital x-ray technology offers every patient an advantage in early detection of problems, as well as prevention of future problems. The image manipulation and analysis digital x-rays provide allows doctors to detect the early stages of gum disease through changes in bone density, and allows doctors to compare and contrast each visit to ensure positive change is happening. To add to this, digital x-rays are proven to reduce the radiation exposure each patient sees by 80 to 90 percent, and while Parker Modern Dentistry and its affiliates were quick to make the switch from tradition x-ray technology to digital, the majority of dental offices nationwide still utilize film x-ray even though it means a higher risk to both patients and staff. We at Parker Modern Dentistry are in the business of health, and that means utilizing whatever technology allows us to make sure our patients are as healthy as can be.
CAD/CAM Technology: Parker Modern Dentistry utilizes CAD/CAM 3D technology, allowing our dentists to create 3D models of teeth on their computers so that they can design crowns and implants chairside. These designs are then printed using cutting edge 3D technology with either the traditional porcelain or the CEREC Lava synthetic to create perfectly fitted, perfectly color-matched crowns or implants- and they can be printed in house, in one hour or less, eliminating the need to wait weeks between procedures while suffering through a temporary crown or a missing tooth.
