“I suppose so.” She raised her eyebrows. “In the eyes of our parents, absolutely. I’m surprised they didn’t drag you here sooner.”

“sucks doesn’t it? Well, would you consider public nudity, drunken fights and several hook ups awful?”

“He kicked you out? What for?”

“I’ve met him briefly, but we didn’t talk much. He practically kicked me out.”

“Yes, really.” Sunmi was about to ask again whether it was alright, but she figured she’d been reassured enough. “How far is the closest shopping district?”

“Oh really?” She raised an eyebrow. “Right, I’m taking you shopping and we’re going to get tonnes of magazines.”

“I guess you’ll end up meeting him sometime, right? I hope he’s not arrogant, you know how some can be.”

“Good, I’m glad. Oh - I’m not sure.” She shrugged.

“Oh, right, those. I haven’t seen one in months. We didn’t really have them lying around the palace back home.”

“I’ve become very accustomed in the past few days.” Athena nodded, “lots of fashion magazines.”

“Neither am I, and yet I’m still here to build trust and relationships with my fellow princes and princesses. Was your behaviour that awful that they had to force you to come here?”

“I’m not included in that whole marriage thing. There’s no need for me to be here. Besides the fact my parents are obviously trying to get me to behave by punishing me.”

“Yeri is the mood maker. She’s always bright. When the members are tired and Yeri comes to do some aegyo, it makes our motherly smiles come out,” - Joy about Yeri

“I will. How long do you think you have?” she asked.

“You’re lucky.” She nodded, “you should enjoy your freedom while you still have it, which is what I plan on doing.”

“That would be wonderful. I’m not as accustomed to the western beauty standards, living in Korea and all.”

“I used to help my friends back home.” She nodded. “Now I can help you.”

“Strange is subjective, don’t you think? I’d rather be strange on my own terms than be bored. We’re already restricted enough as royals, so I’ll take whatever freedom I can get.” She shouldn’t have been on the ground, trying to befriend a spider, but her parents weren’t there to say otherwise.

“Alright, and while I do understand missing your pets, I just think trying to befriend a… spider of all things is a bit strange.” The woman admitted. “But if that’s what you like, than far be it from me to say anything otherwise.”

“Peace. Isn’t that what this entire venture is for? That’s why so many people are going through with their arranged marriages -- it’s easier for the country that way.”

“And what will you achieve from accepting what your parents make you do? I don’t get people who view questioning and complain about things as something useless. That’s exactly how things get changed.”

“I’m not exactly ecstatic about being here either, but nothing’s going to change if you complain about it. Nothing’s achieved that way.”

“I’m still wondering what I’m doing here. It’s not like I’m in one of those awful arranged engagements like some of you. If you ask me this is a waste of my time and I’m losing my patience. I could be travelling the world right now, or doing it with some model. Yet here I am.”

“Likewise. I’m surprised I haven’t been forced into an arrangement yet, though perhaps my parents are waiting for me to turn eighteen. That’s also possible.”

“I want to get married for love, not for an alliance or to strengthen countries. But I have to do so, and I will.”

“You do it a lot, then, I’m assuming?”

“Not at all, helping people when it comes to beauty is one of my many talents.”

“You’ve never even met? Well, I suppose that’s what you’re here for... I take it you’re not a fan of this whole marriage business?”

“Unfortunately, yes.” Katarina nodded. “To a man whom I don’t even know.”
