- hui is the only female solo artist in big hit entertainment currently. she was accepted into big hit as her father used to be childhood bestfriends with the CEO of the company, bang sihyuk. mr bang sihyuk made an exception for hui and allowed her to be a trainee in his company, afterwards she debuted on the 12th of december 2018 as a solo artist.

- hui has admitted before in an interview that she really looks up to park jimin of bts. "he used to always treat me to meals when i was still a trainee and always encourages me to pursue my dreams as a singer." hui had stated. "i really hope we will be able to find time and catch up again soon." was her response after being asked if she and the popular male singer were still as close as they were before.

- hui is a very sensitive person and gets emotional easily. she cries often when she experiences negative emotions but she recovers quickly and returns to being her usual smiling self once again.

- hui can speak fluent chinese and learnt korean after moving to seoul, she is currently learning how to speak english. she has mentioned before that she wants to connect more with her fans and is thus trying her very best to learn the language.

- besides jimin, hui also adores kim namjoon of bts. fans often spot them hanging out together in cafés and restaurants and acting sweetly with each other. "she is like my little sister." the charming rapper said in an interview about hui, stating that their relationship was purely like siblings. - hui enjoys reading and writing in her free time. she has said before that if she hadn't debuted as an idol, she would be an author.

- hui finds herself quite short for her age. at a height of 166cm, she is already taller than most female idols but she is still insecure of her short legs. hui often wears long pants and heels to elevate her body and make herself appear longer to others.

- hui used to learn contemporary dancing when she was younger but stopped due to financial difficulties. she continued again after becoming a trainee and with the help from jimin, she improved tremendously.
