Back in July 2012, the beautiful thing that is Parkwood was started and I don’t think any of us ever potentially realised just how far we’d come and we’ve definitely been through some trials and tribulations. 

We’ve met some amazing people, we’ve gained a wonderful group of friends, we lost some amazing people, we cried, we laughed, we discovered new things about ourselves and our portrayal of our characters and so much more, and us admins must admit, it has been absolutely amazing.

However, we’ve noticed a decline in activity and we’ve decided to do something that we weren’t sure we’d ever have to do— Take a seat, a deep breath and make sure you haven’t just taken a sip of water or a bite of anything because Parkwood Asylum RPG is… moving! 

Over the past couple of days, Ken, Andrea & I have been planning our little butts off, devising a new plan that could allow us to keep our Parkwood History and also open our arms to new ideas, people and of course, characters.

So Parkwood Asylum is moving to Eastwick Mental Facility, and with the new move, we’ll be having new graphics and new everything, so that brings us to this; You have an option to change the name of your character, if you wish to. If that is the case, please message us with the change and soon, you'll be seeing your character with their change on the new blog (linked above.) If not, that’s completely fine, you don’t have to. 

It’s been an amazing year and a bit already and we hope to continue our lovely streak at the new location. We look forward to seeing everyone join us at Eastwick and we can’t wait to begin again!

Alrighty...now that the little monkey that is Sha has officially announced her hiatus (which I probably should've done but I've had a bad week and I forgot...oh well) and because I've realized it's been a bit of a while since we've done so; therapist assignments and rooming assignments are going to be updated today. (Because that's also better than writing this Jordan self-para that's making me cry more than I have been.)

Like always, I'll make a post when it's all good to go and finished. But yeah, this is your head's up.

Hey guys, it's me, Sha... y'know, the little monkey who disappeared off the face of the earth? Yeah, me!

So, I don't really have a valid excuse for my inactivity, but it has happened and it really shouldn't have been, but starting back at school has knocked the wind out of me so I've been putting more time in to that (and production) rather than RP, and I should have done this the minute I told Ken I needed a hiatus, but I'm doing it now (I would've done it yesterday but Alyssa's birthday *sniff*) Anyway, here goes;

I just wanted to know because the admin activity said no one has posted in two days. ( I usually look at that stuff because sometimes rpers take advantage of that and don't log on.) but I am going to send in an app because this rp is very well put together and I love the concept of it <3

Not a problem at all. (Honestly I just get weird with that question because everyone's definition is different and yeah...so I'm sorry if that came off weird or anything.)

Ah yeah, I definitely understand that. Sometimes we go a few days without updating the main. We have an OOC blog that the other admins and myself tend to keep everyone in the RP updated more with than the main blog for whatever reason (convenience I'm sure, because we're all connected on all or most of our accounts and it's right there. That's my reason honestly.)

are you guys active?

That honestly all depends on your definition of “active”. We’re all in school, and some of us have other engagements which require our attention after school, so there’s that.  Plus we’re kind of scattered about in terms of time zones, so I admit there are times where our dash is super slow, and there are times where our dash moves crazy fast.

But, to give you a simpler answer, anon, I would say from my perspective yes, we are active for the most part.
