In 2003, Abercrombie & Fitch approached Slavoj Žižek to write copy for the 126-pages Back to School issue of the largely clothing-optional A&F Quarterly. Never one to shy away from the absurd, Žižek accepted the improbable invitation and thought up some two dozen “silly Lacanian statements” to accompany spreads shot by Bruce Weber.
