#dndadstuck#i cant come up w names for all the guardians i give up#designs dont necessarily reflect how i would actually draw them in a normal setting its just to better translate in hs terms#may hales (mh) is a exile#schmegan is jack noir#bq/the mayor is a little hard to design#i think shed have the elements of norms and scarys sprite the most so theres the spit curl and theater mask. then a curtain gown would be#kinda cool#but i gotta incorporate the pizza + gundamn + garfield and then i was like hmm lost the plot a little there#the wq is exiled early on#erin o neil as the wq is honestly kind of a stretch but well. theres not a lot of women characters in dndads is there

Land of cheer and despair
A polarized world with a dreadful atmosphere and a bleached landscape.
The planet deals in volatile extremities, reflecting normal generally as a person with reference to his families history.
there's really not much to say except that this is his personal silent hill.
#dndadstuck#dead trees to oppose his whole families history as hippie nature druids etc and kind of like describing how hes failing to live up to#that expectation#hes the only one who wont be able to complete his land quest because when hes finally faced with The Choice he always chooses wrong#and the game w/ predestination already in mind already knows he wont ever really be able to succeed kind of has the fact#that he wont overcome his struggles already spelled out in just the design of the planet#taylors land connects to the doodler in a historical/lore/physical way#while norms is the psyche and the general being of the doodler#cheer in connection to his aspect hope and school spirit#despair cuz of well. yknow. his whole family backstory his low self esteem and the antonym to hope#the symbolism and themes id say are the most heavy handed for him given thats how it was in the story#kind of plain for the eye to see so theres nothing to really say that you cant already tell

Land of brimstone and memory
A fiery world with everything ablaze save for antiquated movie set structures.
Brimstone in connection to hell, blaze (4/20 & glory) & the fire at the end of tmod. Memory symbolized by film in both the object and form of entertainment as ways of documenting life or viewing history. Film is highly flammable, concurrently, some films can be reused by erasing the images with sulfuric acid.
Time players lands hold significance as the planet that holds the scratch construct, which in this case would be a cassette tape. Due to the circumstances in the nature of this session, the constructs purpose does not function as a reset button but a undo, activated by rewinding the cassette by using the quills like how you would typically with a pencil.
#the big themeing of film and movie sets tie into tmod and the origin of the doodler with the additional layer#of the player being from the hollywood industry#homevideo films in how taylor's dad shares his memories#action films in aligning with taylor's belief in his grand destiny as a main character#tmod/the hearts greatest desire as history and taylor's connection to that especially with his great great grandfather's involvement#in the film industry but also the horrors#especially as the first victim#i think (understandably) the family that gets the most focus regarding anything doodler related is the oaks#but i think for this crossover its more apt that the location that contains the physical reference and lore of the doodler is to taylor#given the close families line of entertainers and facilitators aligns with the doodlers visual symbolism of film/movie#and its fun to examine the similitude of the entropy of the doodler and the chaos of the demons#dndadstuck#chameleon design from ignatius2722 on deviantart

Land of fields and frogs
A vast world with grass fields that stretch on for miles and frogs hidden about.
The land is comfortable but stagnant. Though there are the familiar fields and picket fence with a clear sky overhead to lull in a sense of complacency, the air is heavy with no wind. The water is still and cold, and the tadpoles are unable to metamorphize.
The land quest would be to light the forge and disrupt the planets idleness. Yet, doing so would forever alter the planet. Theming surrounding having to go out of your comfort zone and the important things we lose even during change that is for the betterment.
#dndadstuck#i imagine linc being able to be acutely aware that somethings wrong even at the worlds relative face value peacefulness.#being in a place he should love but not being able to relax would be chief among the mixed signals he gets from his planet that unnerves hi#lincs world is the most chill one i imagine during down time this is where the kids hang around the most#some more things in tandem w the themeing#there are no trees#theres only the one type of flower#the consorts until the forge is ignited are not able to be all that technologically advanced#the planet as a whole pre ignition (as i drew it) is lush but relatively one note/monochrome

Land of mirror and ruses
A hot desert world with broken glass strewn across the sand, twisted mirror spires and distant mirages.
Mirror in reflections, truth and self. Ruses in illusion, deceit and trickery. Both in common with fragility while also coming together as funhouse mirrors or mirror mazes (denizen dungeon)
Denizen dungeon would be Scam likely's funhouse with different challenges but purposely same. The denizen itself would have the role of tori
#dndadstuck#mirror linking to aspect ideologically#reflections in how the story uses fractered identites of scary to explore her inner turmoil#ruses corrolating to the front she puts up to others#deceit w her betrayal#the sharp mirrors and glass stems from scary as a person#especially her role as a glass canon#the heat of the dessert contrasts to how (at least in my design) many layers of cloths scary has on and the battle between that#visual representation of whether outside circumstances & influences can sweat her out or her resolve to keep her barriers up will prevail
