I didn't even realise the women's world cup starts this month. There is no noise here in India. I am from Mumabi and I haven't even seen a hoarding here yet. Even my insta/youtube feed is bare. No ads of the world cup. Atleast the ads were everywhere during the men's world cup in 2023.

If the management of BCCI during the men's world cup was bad this time it's worse. How does BCCI get away with this every fucking time I don't know

ugh that's such a shame! if i recall correctly, securing tickets for the men's wc in 2023 wasn't made the easiest for the public. tickets only officially went on sale about 40 days out from the start of the tournament, which is wayyyyy too late for a world cup and the system online fucked a lot of fans over and prevented them from securing them. hence why the stadium was near empty for the opening match between eng and nz it's now 28 days from the start of the women's tournament and tickets are still not live, which is just utterly unacceptable. the venue for the final was not even confirmed until a week ago. you would never hear about that happening in another sport, especially to the men i thought the men's wc was a logistical mess, but this is proving to be soooo much worse. the players and the fans of the women's game deserve a world cup worthy of their talent and passion. the bcci's mismanagement of this tournament just proves that once again they are not committed to growing and improving the women's game
