Today it was announced by the anthropology department of Shellendorf Institute that (with the help of a few local indie developers) ONE OF THE FIRST EVER HUMAN VIDEO GAMES HAS BEEN DISCOVERED AND RECREATED

Whatever text was in the game is illegible thanks to the weathering of the past 12,000 years (and for other obvious reasons), but through what they could decipher of the game, they've put together a working prototype of what this game most likely looked like:

lowkey vent post under the cut

i dont really get out much, but when i do i always get a few stares or glances of people trying not to stare. and i get it, most people in splatsville don't see chrondies that often but it always kinda feels like people are scared of me? like if i raise my voice too much or look the wrong way or swing my tail too hard i could hurt someone. i dont want to hurt anyone, though, i just want to live and be myself. i couldn't do that back in A-Bay for different reasons, and i thought I'd find it here, but it kinda just ended up trading one problem for another.

something else that's come up lately with my coworkers is the supposed ethics of eating flesh and roe from their "unevolved" genetic ancestors (e.g. an inkling eating aquatic squid, a salmonid eating salmon), and this is something i'm curious on what the community here thinks of as well
