From future teacher to homeless person 💔

My story and hope for survival😭

I am Israa Alwan, a young woman who once had big dreams and was ready to achieve them. After years of hard work and study, I finally received my degree in Early Childhood Education. It was an indescribable joy, knowing I was about to start my journey as a teacher, to help shape young minds and walk alongside them in their first steps toward knowledge.

But my dream didn’t last. The war came and turned my life upside down. My home, which was once a safe haven, is now rubble, and I am left with only a few belongings and a shattered bag of dreams. Now, I am without a home, a job, or any sense of security. I move from place to place with my family, searching for a shelter to protect our children and the sick from the cold winter and the scorching summer.

My brother Shadi, who has always been my strength and support, now bears the heavy responsibility of caring for our entire family, doing everything he can to protect us and provide us with the bare essentials, despite the harsh conditions😭😭😭

Today, I reach out to you, driven by a shared humanity, seeking your support to help us survive and find a way out of this life that was forced upon us.

I am Najah Al-Haila from Gaza.

I never imagined I would find myself in a situation that would require me to write these words, but life has taken an unexpected and devastating turn. My family, consisting of my beloved husband and our four children - two daughters and two sons - is facing a crisis that we cannot overcome alone.

Our home, once filled with love and laughter, has been shattered. The roof over our heads, the walls that protected us, and the place where our children grew up are lost. We lost not only our home, but the foundations of our lives. Now, we struggle every day to survive, with nowhere to go or a way to rebuild without help.

Our children, who should be focused on school and their dreams, worry instead about where they will sleep or when their next meal will be. The weight of their fear and confusion breaks my heart. As parents, we feel helpless and unable to provide basic necessities for our loved ones.

We are urgently asking for help because we cannot do this alone. We need to rebuild not only our home, but our lives. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly to providing our children with a safe place to sleep, food to eat, and a chance to dream again. Please, if you can find it in your heart to help us during this desperate time, we will be forever grateful to you. I’m Anas Basil, a recent high school graduate with dreams of a brighter future through studying e-business management and building a career. But the war has shattered everything. After graduating with a 93% average, I enrolled at Khan Younis Training College (UNRWA), only to find that it’s now a shelter for displaced families instead of a place for education.

My younger brother, Ahmad, 14, is known as the "Doctor of the Future" because of his extraordinary talent in mathematics. However, the war has kept him out of school for two consecutive years. Ahmad is also a gifted football player who used to win tournaments, but the war has taken that away from him too.

The war forced our family to flee to Rafah, where we lived in a tent for several months. Every day is a struggle for survival—fetching water, gathering wood, and making a fire.
