It's been very overshadowed by the other events, but both seats in Georgia went blue. This is a huge shift and it was one hard won and we all owe that to the black community, the Hispanic community, and the indigenous community and all the other incredibly suppressed communities for getting to the polls and fighting through the enormous roadblocks set up to stop them and the very real danger they faced to make this happen.

They’ve all been stoking the fires of a coup for the past three months and for a wannabe-dictator for the past five years because it has been profitable for them to do so. Now they want to act appalled that violent terrorists stormed the Capitol today as if they haven’t been egging them on or giving them a plafotrm to literally plan and physically execute said coup. With their calls of “Defend the majority” and bringing nooses + Confederate flags to the Senate floor today, Trump and his supporters stopped even thinly veiling the racism that is at the core of all of this.
