Loki Agent of Asgard Horns Tutorial:
Ok so i’ve got a few people asking how i made my loki agent of asgard horns so decided to make a tutorial:
I started by sketching out a template and then cutting it out of cereal box card.

I then cut the mask part and V part out of two layers of craft foam each and pva glued the two layers together (don’t attach the V to the mask yet). I then cut out two little pieces, which i like to call the cheekbone pieces, for the raised parts of the mask and glued them onto the mask.

I then used a heat gun to heat up the mask a bit and then bent it so it would fit to my face (DO NOT PUT REALLY HOT CRAFT FOAM ON YOUR ACTUAL FACE, FORM IT AROUND SOMETHING ELSE)

(IMPORTANT NOTE: the V shape is not actually glued on here i just placed it like that for the photo for some reason idk, but do not glue on the V shape yet!!!)
I then cut up some newspaper and made a pva glue/water mix (2 parts glue to one part water) and paper mached over the whole thing, doing the mask and V separately. Then when it is dry you can glue the V onto the mask.
Now for the horns i started by cutting out the template in thick card, one for each horn. I then got a can of expanding foam and covered each template in it (on side at a time, leaving it to dry in between)
Then when it was dry i carved the shape of the horns out, using the card in the middle as a guide.

For an in depth expanding foam tutorial go check out Kamui Cosplay’s tutorial here.
I then wrapped the horns in electrical tape, electrical tape works particularly well cos it stretches slightly so it covers the curved form really well.

I then paper mached the horns using the same method as on the mask.
I then used hot glue to attach the horns to the mask.
Next what i should have done is bought some paper mache powder mix or similar, and then covered the entire thing in it, then sanded it all down to make it really smooth. However i was making this last minute so ended up using wood filler which did work but is not what you want to be using.
So go invest in some paper mache powder mix.
And finally i used some gold chrome (shiny) spray paint to cover the whole thing in 3 layers. You do not want to be using matt gold spray paint so check the can carefully. Also make sure each layer of spray paint is properly dry before applying another coat.
And then you’re done. I attached the mask to my face using wig tape all over the back of it which actually worked really well, it stuck to my face for the whole 6 hours i needed it to. But if you dont want to do that you could quite easily hot glue some elastic or ribbon at each sides of the mask and tie it on.
Good Luck!
Any questions feel free to message me.
