Been posting this EVERYWHERE because I'm really proud of my vision and how quick this came together. SO. I have a BIG mushroom hat I made in the past for a Ren faire. But it's too cumbersome for the crowded faire I'm going to. So little one is needed. And I waited til last week to start. (Progress pics under read more!)
Materials: cardboard, hot glue, duct tape, various fabrics I already had/got from goodwill. Beads from a curtain my Nana had. And lace of various types.
Last week: constructed a cardboard base.

Started cutting out goodwill fabrics, realized I needed a pattern, looked up how to calculate pieces for a dome today at 3 PM and made a template and found more fabric.

Sewed pieces together, hot glued tight onto base:

Cut up lace for white spots, hot glued on (will stitch down later). Then added beads.

And for final progress today, cut out white fabric to hide cardboard and pleated sheer fabric on top partially.

All in all looking okay. Looks a little hodge podge but I think that fits a cottagecore aesthetic. Plus I like when things look homemade. Will post more later. 💙
