A bit of Backstory:

In The Ride’s Universe, Specific hosts are selected by Helen for the “AfterDark” program. That night, Nate happened to be hosting.

Whilst Cookie was trying to get some rest, his phone began to ring. It was Nate calling him.

When Cookie answered, he could hear blowing in the background. Though Nate tried endlessly to change the subject, Cookie knew that either he, or Player 1 had opened a bag of.. Well, Carbon Monoxide.

In the Morning though, Nate apologized to Cookie for the incident.
