imagine being gifted with an incredible talent to draw beautiful feminine men and what you do with that power is write and illustrate a prison rape yaoi that just looks intensely painful and that follows the tropes of every other yaoi on the digital shelves. there is no real plot or exploration of this kind of twisted dynamic, it's just prison rape that's meant to seem sexually appealing to some people.

i understand that some victims read that kind of stuff, and can sexualize it for themselves as much as they wish, but these are pushed to more and more general audiences, that don't know this type of manga, aren't familiar with its limitations and nuances, and might not pause to analyze what they are reading and what effect it is having on them. i go for plain yaoi smut recommendations, i don't seek these works out, and yet i find more and more rape scenes that are more and more graphic. i'm so tired.

why do so many explicit davekat works have dave come in his pants???? like there's 27 fics of it. and that's just the ones that are tagged. is there something about him that makes people think that???/gen what about a person makes you think that they come in their pants in bed? and no hate, the high majority of the time the authors that are into that are actually great writers, but i personally don't find it that hot so it's always kind of a game of weighing how well the fic is written vs how much of a turn off coming in pants is.
