#PatnaShots recently went on a #RoadTriptoVaishali which is considered to be the first republic of the world. It was a one day trip and we came back to #Patna by evening. #Vaishali has always been famous for the Ashoka Pillar but there are various other things to see and places to explore. #PatnaShots : सोनपुर मेला is not just centuries-old but also the largest cattle fair in Asia. It is held on Kartik Poornima (the full moon day) in the month of November- December. It is known as Harihar Kshetra Mela (हरिहर क्षेत्र मेला). It is a tourist place near Patna.

#PatnaShots went from Patna to #Rajgir, one of the most scenic tourist places in Bihar. This is the second part of what we did in a day in Rajgir. The places we covered were: Ghora Katora Lake, Maniyar Math, Swarna Bhandar, Bramha Kund, Japanese Temple, Veerayatan.

Last week we went to Darbhanga House which is situated on the banks of river Ganga in Patna, Bihar. This stunning property belonged to Maharaja Rameshwar Singh from the royal family of Darbhanga. He not only donated this palatial house to Patna University but also played an important role in introducing Maithili as a subject in the university.
