"Cause I'm not allergic to all of the animals that are here." He shrugged and looked around for the alpacas. He was really only allergic to dogs and rabbits. The worst combination for him as he'd always wanted a dog. He had to admit that Easter was not his favorite holiday. Growing up, his grandparents were religious and his parents were more casual about it, but he'd growing up with the iconography and didn't like it all that much. However, spring and flowers were something he enjoyed celebrating. "No obsession. I think they're cute. Don't you?"

"Why are you even here if you're allergic? Seems pretty stupid to me." Kate rolled her eyes, stood on a slant, arms folded - the pinnacle image of someone who did not want to be at a petting zoo. However, she'd been hoping to kill some time before her shift, and there was always the small chance that she'd get to watch one of the animals bite someone. Entertainment. "What's your obsession with rabbits?"

It did seem like a dumb idea to pet a rabbit when he knew that he was allergic. There were other animals here that he wasn't allergic to and they were also available to pet. Pato thought bunnies were cuter though. "Oh, no this should be enough. Thank you." He smiled and kept petting the small rabbit that had come up to his hand. "It sucks being allergic to some animals. I always wanted a dog growing up. Then I realized that it wasn't in the cards when I went to a friend's house that had a dog and I sneezed all night." It wasn't the worst allergy of his.

Joy is just as contagious as any disease and it radiates from this man to Kacey, a bright smile cracking across his face as his gaze goes from Pato to the rabbits, extending out his own hand for another baby bunny to come sniff and allow him to pet. "Just checking. I have Claritin in my backpack if you need some." He offers with a shrug, a little surprised at how soft the bunny was, not that he expected a different fur texture, but he'd never actually interacted with farm animals outside of horses. "And tissues." He tacks on as an after thought.

"Well, I mean I guess dogs too. But they don't have puppies at a petting zoo. They should though. I think that would be fun." At least for other people. Children usually loved dogs. He had found out that he was not allergic to hypoallergenic dogs, which was nice considering that he knew some people that were allergic to some hypoallergenic breeds. "It would be bad if I was allergic to all animals. I mean I guess I wouldn't be allergic to fish, but I don't think that counts." He looked at the animals again.

"Oh, I hate when people own illegal animals. Like we don't need to domesticate a tiger. I'm sorry." Animal rescues were a different thing. "Cats and dogs are pretty cool though."

“ well no, it could be worse right? If it were all animals it would be really bad if wager. “ Gabe offered trying to offer the alternative about it all. The personal connection though did make it clear there was a rather nice connection to the animal though. “ I think that would make me end up adoring the little guys. If that was something someone asked me? I’d end up trying to get one the next day. “

“ not that I know of? I’m mostly ever around a car or a dog” he admitted. “ though I do get calls about wild animals being illegally owned sometimes. That’s always a bummer @patoalonso“

"It's only rabbits unfortunately," he replied with a small shrug. "I think rabbits are really cute. I had a friend when I was younger that raised rabbits. I loved going over and watching them." He probably should have been more careful about being around animals that he was allergic to, but Pato really did not care." "Do you have any allergies to an animal you like?"

Gabe was surprised at the man’s endurance to want to pet a rabbit despite allergies. It honestly made him smile a bit to see that. He had a tendency to be a bit of a bore or a bummer just based on what he’d been through but this brought a smile to his face. “ you just really like rabbits. Is it just them or are you allergic to other animals?” @patoalonso

Pato knew that it was a bad idea to pet the bunnies when he was totally allergic to bunnies, but that was not going to stop him. He would be careful and wash his hands before and after before touching his face. That was the problem with stupid allergies like his. He personally didn't think he would have a terrible allergic reaction or anything, but he did not want to risk it getting worse. "Oh gosh, yes. Thank you. I didn't think ahead like I should have." He took the items. "What animals are you allergic to."

At first, Shyne stood back and watched curiously, then he heard what was said and chuckled a bit. He gently walked more into the petting zoo close to the other man and held out a couple items. "Well, maybe these can help you at least? So you don't sneeze on the rabbits as you pet them?" He held out over the counter allergy pills and a mask, just to offer help. "I have allergies to some animals as well, so figured I'd bring something in case and seems it was smart to."

Pato always loved to see the best in situations. Which his optimism could get on people's nerves sometimes, but he really didn't care. It was better to look on the good side of things than always be negative. Personally, he had zero interest in getting a real tattoo, so henna was always kind of fun to him.

"Besides, it's kind of fun to think about you know. It can be like a question for people you're friends with. But yes, I think it looks cool. And I don't know if you should appreciate it, but like it's there so why not?"

Declan tilts his head and squints his eyes with scrutiny, and okay. The design itself isn't bad. And it looks nice there as a temporary decoration to his skin. Something without committing to actual ink and needles - Dec doesn't think he ever has the balls to do that.

"I like that word. Organic. Makes me feel a little less stupid about getting it," he laughs. "I don't even remember what I spent, if I'm being honest. Paid cash, took no receipt, so I should appreciate it, huh?"

"Yeah, it's actually a pretty common allergy. I'm allergic to their dander." Pato had a ton of allergies to different pets. He didn't care all that much about having an allergic reaction now. "I'm surprised you haven't heard of it. I suppose it's not every day you see a rabbit unless you live on a farm or whatever." Pato shrugged. "I mean squirrels are rodents and you can be allergic to rodents, so I'm sure someone has a squirrel allergy. I had a rabbit as a class pet when I was nine and if I pet her, I'd get puffy eyes."

"You know what? I don't think I've ever heard of someone being allergic to rabbits in my life," Louie observed with a small 'huh' under her breath as she kept a mindful eye on how her son interacted with the animals.

"It's like hearing someone is allergic to squirrels. How do you even find that out?"

Sometimes people were surprised to hear that Pato was an extrovert. He'd always loved being around other people. He knew a flower festival probably wasn't the perfect place for him to be hanging out with, since it normally messed with his allergies—and today he'd forgotten to take his medicine. Pato looked at the rabbits, wishing he could hold one, but knew that would make him sneeze. "Yes, of course it's a good idea. It isn't every day that you can pet a rabbit!" he exclaimed with excitement. "No, I'm not that kind of allergic. I'll sneeze and my eyes will get puffy if I touch them."

He's just as confused as the child next to him as to what he's doing here. His Hinge match never showed which left him hanging out at an event he didn't quite care for but felt a social obligation to stay at and support. Casually, he sips his beer and observes the animals, reaching out to give some head scratches to a goat thinking he's going to give it food and nibbling on his fingers. His head turns to the rabbits as a man next to him starts sneezing, eyebrow raising up, a quizzical expression hidden by his sunglasses. "Ahhh... I see..." He trails off, amusement quirking up the corners of his lips. "You, uh, you sure it's a good idea? No anaphylaxis about to happen?"

The flower fest was fun, even if his allergies were acting up more than normal this week. All the flowers and small furry animals didn't help. He did his best to remember to take his allergy pill every day, but today he obviously must have forgotten it—a real shame. Pato knew that he totally should not be here at the petting zoo. However, it was difficult not to when animals were so cute. "You should push past it. I mean look how cute that little rabbit is." He looked over at the rabbits. "Are you allergic to them?"

even if his daughter was with his ex for the weekend, deacon was determined to still have her enjoy the flower festival (even if she wasn't physically there). that's how he found himself taking photos of the animals in the petting zoo as if he was their very own paparazzi. the man contorted his arms to get the perfect shot of this absolutely adorable lamb curled up and taking a nap. though, his attention soon went towards the direction of the chain of sneezes. he offered the other man a smile. "honestly, I admire your dedication. I don't know if I'd have it in me to push through allergies. but they are really cute, so maybe I would."

Patricio sneezed yet again—the third time since setting foot near the petting zoo. Nothing was going to stop him from petting a rabbit, he was determined. He made his way through all the children who were here for the same reason as he was. Pato was damned if he'd let his allergies to bunnies stop him from petting a bunny. He sneezed another time. "I promise I'm not ill. I am allergic to rabbits, but that won't stop me."

Patricio: Wine tasting seems super fun. I'd totally be down to join. Patricio: I mean if you want to go with me. Patricio: Drinking alone doesn't seem fun at all. Patricio: I don't need incentive. I love hanging out with people.

Vera: I have a dilemma Vera: I want to go do a wine tasting Vera: but I feel like if I go alone, that'd be one of the most pathetic things I've ever done. Vera: Will you come with me so I don't drink alone? Vera: In exchange, you can also have alcohol and my dazzling personality.

The flower fest was entirely too much fun. Over the past few days, he'd managed to go to all sorts of different places. Sometimes he still felt like he didn't know everyone in town, even though he'd lived here for 2 years and was a naturally social person.

"Oof, I have no idea, but I do kind of like the design. It feels really organic," Patricio looked at the henna and tilted his head to the side. "It's fun."

BIOGRAPHY !

Gabriel and Mirabel met as children—they instantly became friends with their big views on the world. Unlike the rest of the children their age, they wanted to travel the world and get out of their small town. They both dreamed of a life in Germany or Japan or Australia. Most people expected them to end up getting married and they were right. They started dating in their early teens and Gabriel proposed soon after Mirabel turned twenty. They saved money for a wedding, but at the last minute decided to elope—both hoping that they could get an early hop on the travels they were so excited to begin. The two made it as far as San Francisco before falling in love with the city. They decided to make the city their home, both finding jobs and finding a tiny apartment—the only thing they could afford—in such an expensive place. Only a couple of years after they married, Mirabel became pregnant and gave birth to a baby boy. He was named Patricio after his grandfather.

Growing up Pato was shipped back and forth between his grandparents in Mexico during the summers and his parents the rest of the year. He was a loved child, a bright child, someone who forged his own path with a smile on his face. Although his parents were busy people with their jobs, they eventually went to college and got better jobs—Pato was always proud of his parents and the work they did. They supported him in every decision he made—even if it was the wrong one. School was important to him and his parents pushed him hard in school. Although Pato didn't need pushing to be good in school. He was a quick learner and while there were disruptive, Pato was a particularly shy and quiet child, preferring books and comicsto his peers.

He was thirteen the first time he saw the San Francisco pride parade in person—and it was a mesmerizing experience for him. People dressed up in all sorts of costumes, bright colors, and a genuinely exciting experience. He'd nervously expressed his feelings to his parents that year and as always, they supported him, even going as far as taking him to pride celebrations. Patricio struggled being the only openly gay kid in his class, but he was a tough kid, and wore a rainbow pin on his backpack with pride. But aside from his own involvement with the community, Pato fell in love with the outfits people made and he quickly fell down the rabbit hole of costume making. He wanted to be as fabulous as everyone else he saw—be it a pride parade or an amazing cosplay.

His parents encouraged his love of sewing, buying him a sewing machine when he was fourteen. He designed his first costume at fifteen and from then on his love of cosplay only grew. Pato got a job at a local craft store, even if most of his money went right back into the store. His parents let him go to anime and comic book conventions where he showed off the costumes he made. And when the few conventions he could afford weren't enough, Pato eventually started his own Instagram and YouTube where he showed off his own creations. He felt more confident in a cosplay he made, knowing the details were perfect or near close to it. By his high school graduation, he'd earned a relatively large following online and had even started planning on entering cosplay competitions. He loved everything about designing, but when it came time for college, he decided to major in business—although he still kept up with his socials and continued make costumes.

At the age of twenty two, fresh out of college, Patricio got an office job in San Francisco and continued living with his parents. He wanted to save up some money to live on his own. Pato was miserable with his office job, but kept up. Cosplay and his social media was his saving grace, but he almost quit when he turned twenty five. He'd always read the comments on his channels because a lot of them were positive. But around the age of twenty five, a lot more of them became negative. People commented on his size, his sexuality, his costumes and it really started to get to him. He almost deleted his accounts until his partner told him not to listen to the comments, told him to stop reading all the negative comments because they didn't do anything other than hurt him. So he stopped listening to what everyone said about him and focused on himself.

At thirty, he was making more money from his social media than he was at his job, so he quit and continued making money with his own brand. He worked long hours and eventually that took a toll on his relationship. Patricio was sad about the relationship ending and to get a change in scenery, he moved to Aurora Bay. This past year, he decided to make another change and bought the arcade, honestly just looking for another place to connect to the community. He's still learning the ins and outs of running an arcade and keeps his social media accounts up and running. But he enjoys his job at the arcade.
