Your Councillor
It would give me great pride to represent the communities of the Shire Council as your Councillor and be your voice at the table.
Although I knew being a Councillor was an important role in the community and influencing the future of the town, I had never considered it myself until someone suggested I run years ago.
Since moving back to Brewarrina two months ago (after living away from home for 1.5years) I realised the Brewarrina By-Election was the perfect opportunity. I thought to myself “why not, I have enough experience, I know and understand how council work and I love and care for my community”.  I spoke to my children and they all said “go for it mum, you have a lot to offer”.
I believe that my skills and expertise will provide new perspectives to the Council and my reputation in the community will allow me to bring a broad range views to the table.
I am honest, driven by my values and have strong ethics. I pride myself on integrity and standing by what I say I am, and doing what I say I’ll do.
I have high level written and verbal communication skills from my work experience, including an understanding of Government, lobbying and activism. I can add value to discussions around the table and am confident I can be your voice on the Council and voice the communities aspirations.
I believe in working together with all members of the community, in each of the towns to strengthen the whole Brewarrina Shire Council. If we all work together and as one team, I believe we can all make a difference.
I hope you will consider me as your Councillor.
