THE STORY SO FAR
The Offensive Line is in the most “flux” we’ve seen in 3 years. Each Backup listed joined the team in the last 7 Days via trade on Cut-Down week. We lost a Top 5 center for the season (David Andrews 4 Lyfe) so minor adjustments there.
They’re coached by Dante Scarnecchia - which means they could all be 16 year olds and somehow we’d be above average as a group. Why? Because Scar too old for their shit. If you were a football player, would you fuck up if your coach was a:
US Marine
Every year the Offensive Linemen have a competition to see who can beat Scar to the building. To date - he’s never been beaten.
Once told Bill, during practice, to stay off his guys and worry about his QB.

Author Note: Shout out to the Cardinals, Ravens and Bills for their players… why they would trade the patriots players to plug holes for the cost of a 6th or 7th Round pick is beyond me

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS 2019 ROSTER PREVIEW - OFFENSE
That’s right, we start with what seems like everyone’s favorite side of the ball. On a team that requires constant unrelenting levels of consistency, the offense has to be self-aware of what it’s good at and things that it should stay away from…
Tumblr media
The offense is one that seems to always advance year to year, never seeming that similar of previous seasons. In fact, read the following by respected NFL author Robert Mays of the Ringer:
“The most remarkable thing about this latest Patriots iteration is how different it looks from the ones that came before it. New England broke the all-time record for first downs a season ago, with an offense that revolved around two tight ends creating mismatches at every level of the defense. But over the last few games, the Patriots have been content to turn their Hall of Fame quarterback into a handoff machine. During Belichick’s tenure, there have been five games in which the Pats have run at least 40 times and thrown 25 or fewer. Two of those have come in their past two games. It’s a radical transformation, but that ability to completely alter its identity is what’s come to define this era in New England.”
The above reads like an exact rundown of the 2018-19 New England Patriots season in December. That was in fact written in *checks notes* going into the playoffs of the 2013-14 Season.
What is different is always the same with this offense. 5 years ago, 5 Months ago or 5 Days from now - this offense will somehow be different and yet consistent in their core beliefs.
So with that in mind, let’s start where the names don’t seem to matter, because to the QBs, it’s just a WALL.
