Taking a bit more time with my work this year, quality over quantity. But I have been time bound also. Which isn't a problem, as it allows me to "think" of what I want to do next. What I like about this theme so much is how abstract it is. The colours also are great, in my opinion. This work is based on abstract life drawings. The choice of colours and paper do go back to the bright colours and sprites, which do become pixelated, compared to the contemporary vector graphic. So I've moved on, have been holding out on this theme for a while to get it all together. How the idea came about is the usual way. Something simple, while remaining abstract and original. The good thing about creating a theme, is that it can lead to something more creative or more ideas overall. It also allows you to experiment with different techniques that may come in useful at a later stage. The process, practice and ideas are continuall.
