im on my? fifth? sixth? étoile rewatch and it still baffles me how adhd-friendly it is [due to people with adhd in the writer room ig] because like. the fast pacing of the dialogues. the constant back and forth between paris and new york without real transitions (there's a general plot everyone follows throughout the episodes but alongside it it's like everything scatters in all directions like bugs when you lift up a rock). the utter lack of explicit timeline (they never really state how much time passes between each plot point, can be days or weeks or months who cares—certainly not me for whom two weeks are equivalent to two months because my brain can't grasp at the notion of time). and then there's always a sort of hyperfocus when it comes to dance, where everything comes to a stop for a moment. idk if im being really clear. maybe i should develop this a bit. but yeah. étoile is a neurodivergent show for neurodivergent people and i'll die on this hill
