The reason I’m not an anarchist is that in the centuries before the Americans with disabilities act people could have all installed safe wheelchair ramps in all of their buildings and they didn’t.
If you’re trying to make a system that relies on people being nice I’m not gonna go with it.

the best thing to happen to lois lane is clark kent falling madly in love with her. not because he’s a great guy, but because having superman in love with her allowed her to crank up her danger seeking tendencies like 20 notches and basically turn off her self preservation skills. and i love that for her.

A Brief Guide To 90s Marvel Legacy Characters
James Rhodes: Military pilot and old friend of Tony Stark. Longtime supporting character of Tony’s who briefly took Tony’s place when Stark was believed to be dead. Later became War Machine which was basically a palate swap of Iron Man but with lots and lots of guns. He starred in several spin-off comics and is a major character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Erik Masterson: Blue Collar Architect and who briefly took over the role the Thor for awhile before becoming the hero Thunderstrike. They’re really easy characters to tell appart as Thor was clean-shaven at the time while Thunderstrike had a beard and ponytail. This character was killed off at the end of his 25 issue run and it’s been one of the few that have stuck.
Ben Reilly: Star of the infamous Spider-Man “Clone Saga” a disastrous event comic that was only supposed to last for a few months, but wound up taking up the better part of two years. A clone of Spider-Man, Marvel briefly flirted with having him full-on replace Peter nullifying decades of stories. Even despite this disaster a major problem with this character is that he was basically “Player 2″ in a Spider-Man video game. Too similar to Peter without enough personality to stand out.
Michael Badilino: AKA Vengeance a more violent grimdark EXTREME version of the Danny Ketch Ghost Rider who was himself a more violent grimdark EXTREME version of the Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider. Took over the series for awhile in an arc that seemed to setting him up for a spin-off clearly inspired by “Venom Lethal Protector” that never happened. When this flopped they made him a villain. Most recently a new version of the character showed up as a punching bag in Jason Aaron’s Ghost Rider run.
Tony Stark: Ok so the legend behind this one goes is that writer Terry Kavanagh didn’t want to write a capitalist superhero. This lead to Avengers: The Crossing a universally reviled crossover where Tony was revealed to have been a totally evil agent of Kang the whole time! Then the Avengers pluck a teenage version of Stark out of the past to fight his evil adult self. Teen Tony would then briefly take over the Iron Man series and would flop incredibly hard despite some great art by Jimmy Cheung who would go on to design the Young Avengers.

Two versions of the big battle from “King Kong vs Godzilla,” as rendered by William Stout from his book “ A Tribute to Willis O’Brien Volume Two.”
The bottom drawing is based on the monsters as we saw them in the film. The top drawing represents what we might have seen if O’Brien, and his stop-motion animation, had been involved in making the film. It was based on an original idea of his, “King Kong vs Prometheus,” which he sold to producer John Beck, who turned around and brought the idea to Toho. Prometheus, originally called Frankenstein, was a giant-sized, human-shaped chimera. Toho changed Prometheus to Godzilla, went with the much-less expensive suitmation process for the monsters, and O’Brien was out of a job. Ironically, there was a brief stop-motion scene in the finished film, when Godzilla kicks King Kong down the mountain.

I’m so excited to announce my first ever published comic cover!

A few months ago, I was thrilled to have been contacted by my friend Matt Frank, who is currently creating the Mothra series for IDW comics, written by the iconic Sophie Campbell, aka @mooncalfe-art!
Matt drew Mothra, and I contributed both the vehicles and Antra, my baby girl in the back there. This is a variant cover exclusive to the Heroes and Fantasies store in San Antonio, Texas!
Words cannot express how honored and excited I am to get to contribute something connected to these two artists, whom I’ve looked up to for years, and I’m just so happy to see the cover. 🥹
