hi im sorry i didnt answer this for months its because i dont rlly know how to explain how i draw them :( but i did make an image of how i compare different animal species patterns (idk if any of this will be helpful

did library of ruina have clowns/carnivals or did you just draw them like that all the time?? i tried looking it up on steam but don't see clowns ;;

YES THEY DO EXIST IN THE GAME. i love the idea of me just drawing them like that for fun though. its like when people message me that they thought emma and noah were actually cats/furries and didnt find out they were people until way later lol

clowns be upon ye (this is their only appearance in the game they die after this)

I saw you’re trying to go off your meds cause of all the issues that came with— I wish you luck! I recently ran out of my medication for awhile and it was horrible— and it was just for my depression/anxiety!!!

THANKS FOR THE SOLIDARITY thankfully I'm over the worst of the withdrawal symptoms now 🥳 so it's been okay.. just worried if my symptoms are gonna worsen especially mentally since I went off my antidepressants and then went off my painkillers which also functioned as antidepressants ... but I will persevere

Thank u so much I'm glad you like my work! I do pretty much everything in clip studio paint nowadays, but sometimes using ms paint is fun, and I had a phase of drawing in the Microsoft notes application too lol

Hello! This is going to be super long-winded and very out of the blue, but I really needed to let you know!!

So, when I was a kid, you were one of my favorite artists in the entire world, I still think about your old deviant art drawings to this day!! 😭 I wanted to draw just like you, but I was kind of stupid and too scared to do the work of actually improving. So, instead, I stole and traced a lot of your artworks, and stole a lot of your designs. That was very stupid and so terrible of me, I did it on Deviantart AND Amino. I honestly wanted to apologize after all these years, because I respected you so much and I did you real bad 😭 I’ve improved a lot as an artist and your artworks have been one of the biggest inspirations to me for years. Anyways, you’re super super cool, love to still see your blog every so often, I hope you’re having a great day :)

It's okay that you traced/copied, I feel like most young artists have and it's a natural response when you admire someone else's works. It's happened to me a few times before so it's not something that really bothers me anymore:)

you definitely know this already but i got scared when i first saw your cute lps around the menorah post because i left an lps too close to some candles as a kid once and it completely melted 😭😭

DONT WORRYYYY i was also nervous about them getting wax on them and being near fire so i moved them out of the way pretty soon after we lit the candles and now they are safe on my desk ^_^

i appreciate it but honestly for every ask that i do answer it's definitely been sitting in here waiting for days/weeks(sometimes months) alongside many others that i just never have the time or energy to answer 😭😭but i try my best

i like pietro a lot!!! :o) i should draw him someday... my fav villagers are LEOPOLD<3, rory, vesta, lolly, tangy, and dobie , but i also like a lot of other ones as well

do you have any tips on making cool background effects in clip studio like the ones you make (an example I can think of is both of your recent sparkledogd drawings) thanks!!

tbh a lot of my backgrounds like that are just using the gradient tool!

and then from there i just mess around with the liquify tool, blur tool, and sometimes put gradient maps or blending mode layers over it :)

using blending modes like "saturation" and "brightness" help me get this effect usually

do you have any tips to make linearting less sucky? I hate it with every fiber of my being. it always takes so long too. thanks!!

I just lie to myself and say I'm not doing lines I'm doing "the refined sketch" and it tricks my brain into getting less scared. Also tip: your lines don't have to be clean. Be free. Try rough lineart, try weird lineart, try only outlining certain parts of the work. Try lots of different brushes to find if any feel easier to use for lineart, or if any textures appeal to you and make the process more enjoyable overall. Stay strong o7 I also hate lineart but we can overcome this situation together

theres not a lot of times i look at art and think "there is genuinely not a single thing that could be changed abt this and it is perfect and every part is stunning" but so many of yr pieces r exactly that 2 me . the way u color is so cool there was that rainbow leopard u did and i just could Not stop admiring it ive literally shown it to my bf twice . sry if this sounds like a lot lolz i just think its so cool

do you have a tutorial or pattern available for your cardboard masks? i love the shape and proportions of them

i went ahead and made an illustrated tutorial that i hope will be helpful :) thank you btw!

I started this mask on the snout, which is originally a flat rectangle. then i fold it into 3 parts, so it becomes kind of like a hollow shape. then the top front corners get snipped but only part way! just enough so they can be folded in and create the muzzle shape. the edges can be trimmed to make the nose pointed and the muzzle lips rounded.

after this i cut a long straight rectangle and bend it a bit before attaching it to the nose bridge. then i cut out two parts for the cheeks which should be flat on the edge which they attach to the muzzle, and round on the egde which forms the side of the face. these should also be slightly bent to create a rounded cheek. the step after this can be tricky, which is cutting two more straight rectangles and then bending them to bridge together the forehead strip to the cheek pieces. this step ends up really defining the shape of the face depending on how bent/long/tight you make them

after that I cut out little triangles to fill in the gaps to create an appropriately sized eye, and for this one I also added some strips to form eyelids. the ear shape varies depending on species but i generally try to bend them a bit to add depth (admittedly the cat ear shape i've illustrated is based on the pattern for Furby ears lol)

the final touches for me are making the eyes out of mesh and attaching elastic using paperclips, and then you can paint/felt/fur/decorate it however you want!
