imagine bestfriend!calum realizing he’s in love with you. it would happen during something you guys always do, like tickle fights; he’d be hovering over you with his fingers digging into your sides and you’d roll around underneath him gasping for breath as you laugh loudly. and it would hit him. all those times he’s stayed up all night to listen to you rant about random stuff till 3 in the morning. all those times he’s felt an edge of jealousy when he heard you talk about another guy who you think was attractive. all those times he’s felt warm and squishy whenever you’d cuddle up against him, wanting to stay in the position forever and just keep his arms around you. his heart would race and his eyes would gleam up, but in reality, it was just a split second that showed through a ghost of a smile. you’d notice him pause and you’d ask him, “calum, is everything alright?” and he’d snap out if his daze, and look at you lovingly, his smile turning bigger. “everything is perfect.”
