The SVTFOE Timeline

Here’s a quick explanation of the SVTFOE timeline. I don’t know if this post has been done before or if it is even needed, but I thought I would explain how I see it for anyone who’s lost with the continuity errors because the timeline mostly makes sense.

Star Comes to Earth happens on Star’s birthday. But we know that Star’s birthday is on Stump Day. So I imagine that Star Comes to Earth takes place right after Stump Day when they can actually celebrate Star’s birthday.

Also, Star arrives on Earth a month to two months into the school year if I had to guess. It can’t be too late into the school year because she goes through the entire school year, but it’s not the first week of school because everything would be too hectic. 

This makes sense with where the show is now. Season two takes place right after summer, or when summer is ending. I’d say Marco was on earth for at most a month (and a half, being generous) before going back to Mewni. A few weeks go by because we know how fast-paced season three has been and we’re back at Star’s birthday with Stump Day.

So a whole year has gone by in the SVTFOE universe. There are a lot of continuity errors, but if you think about it, the timeline makes sense. Okay, that’s all.
