Another doodle I found on a whim. The class gets boring real quick. The dorky pose derives from the default HL1 pose (kinda like the t-pose).

Short and sweet demonstration of comic-book onomatopoeia with a hooded figure in an HEV suit (I didn't wanna screw up the face). Guess what class I'm doodling this in.

The journey of a thousand miles (fan comic) starts with a single step (character sheet). It's about 5% totally finished... turnarounds are a pain in the ass.
If you're reading this and are in an advice-offering mood, please help me out: should I drip-feed bits and pieces of the comic process here? Or, should I only release large parts? You have the greenlight to critique. I won't be offended, pinky promise.

A piece I scrapped halfway through, recreating some Half-Life 1 promotional (or concept?) art.
I remained largely faithful to the artwork's rendition of Gordon, but I did tweak a couple things:
the shotgun more closely resembles a SPAS-12. I'm an HD-pack enjoyer.
his hairline. It's like a Norwood 3.
I also nixed the ponytail. I actually like short hair Gordon and ponytail Gordon equally, but I decided to stick with what Valve shipped in the final release.
Anyway, I just started working on a comic idea I had tumbling around in my head for a while now. Still doing the characters' reference sheets. Maybe I'll post it here when it's done.

I was worried I wouldn't get along with this guy's account because of my bug phobia, but I think we'll get along famously (thanks for the repub!).

This sketch of a headcrab I made at some point last year.
I actually quite dig this one, because it's a relic from before I started drawing pencil guidelines.

The Tau cannon from Half-Life 1. Equipping this already badass energy weapon precedes probably my favourite track in the whole game. I'm not a gun nut, I promise.
This is a sort of test-sketch to see if I had the chops to make a short comic. I think I should've cooled it on the shading personally.
To the astute observer, you'll notice a small lever near the grip. I'll come clean -- I have no idea how this (obviously fictional) energy weapon works in real life, so I just took inspiration from the TF2 Medic's Medigun and gave it the same thing. Also, yeah, this is the Black Mesa model. Maybe I'll use the HL1 model in my comic...

My first ever full-page piece. I've made some progress since (like taking anatomy more seriously), but I still look back on this sometimes.

Portion of a piece that's currently in development hell. Pelvic region could use a little work, but the boots deserve a Nobel prize.

Quick piece I gave up on even quicker.
