okay now I'm curious and I dunno if this is really such an archaic foreign thing to young people today or if I'm just out of touch
Please reblog, I'd love to see a lot of responses!

I like how catgirls in Precure run the gamut from "literally a cat this is not hyperbole she is an honest to god cat that can become a Precure" to "Catlike aliens" to "formerly a cat" to "cat motif" and then there's Chocolat
today is 2/22 or nyan nyan nyan day and you know what that means

day of the traditional Futago Kamikita illustration featuring every cat cure and Akira, who is a cat cure by marriage

Hi, long time no comment. I'm still not dead. As proof, here's my notes for episode 45. I wrote half of this right after waking up, before starting work, and the other half after my shift was over. See if you can tell where the divide is.
I plan to write up all 4 episodes and release them at the end of the month, one per day. I also have a belated Halloween update I want to do. I'm a little behind on Wonderful right now and I was on vacation last week, so I didn't have a chance to update the Halloween episode post before the holiday. And I'll try to push out belated posts for Nagisa and Hikari's birthdays.

I should address this some more.
It is now 3 months to the day since I watched episode 44 and I have finally completed the draft of my review for it. The problem was that, in the spirit of the holiday, I decided to do the recap as a poem, reworking "The Night before Christmas". This was, in fact, quite difficult and I put it off a lot, which is why it took 3 months. I hunkered down last night and finished putting words on the page. Next I need to edit it down to flow better. I've passed arbitrary internal deadline after arbitrary internal deadline. I've watched entire shows in the span of time I've been "writing" this review. I'm not proud of it. But this, also, is why I'm ending the project after I wrap up Go Go.
Once I push this out, I'll get to work on the last four episodes, which I intend to hold until they're all complete, and release back to back on successive days. Hopefully they'll only take me a few weeks since I don't have to obsess over making a poem with meter, rhyme, and flow, but well.... my track record the last few years ain't the best, I know.
As an epilogue of sorts, once I do finish this, I'm going to watch Otona Precure and give some brief thoughts on that series on the main blog. They will not be comprehensive reviews like I've been doing, but I feel it's only right to share.
Also I need to update that beach episode post with HiroSky and Wonderful.....

Friends, loyal followers, the wait is almost over. I've finally finished my rewatch of Yes! Precure 5 GoGo for this project. I'll have reviews for the last 5 episodes out in hopefully short order.

Once upon a time I thought 250 screenshots was a lot.
I miss that.
This post is 6 years old and it feels weird that it's still getting reblogs, but don't stop.
I got a little carried away. All told, and not counting most of the images that went into panoramas that I stitched together, I took 255 screenshots of the Max Heart movie across about 5 hours. Oof. Write-up is incoming but I’m going to go ahead and just watch Max Heart 11 first so I can claim to have done that on August 5th. Hang tight, and in the meantime, here are samesaid panoramas. EDIT: Here is the review for your reading pleasure! https://precuredaily.tumblr.com/post/176689084010/precure-day-060

Assassins Creed Phantom of the Opera parkour guy really was the highlight of it all
I have no fucking clue what's going on in the Olympics opening ceremony rn but they really just like, recruited an Assassin's Creed protagonist to run around lighting shit up while all the other incomprehensible absurd artsy shit was going on, huh?

On the Passing of Matsuno Taiki
As most of you probably have heard by now, beloved voice actor Matsuno Taiki passed away on June 26 of this year at age 56. In the Precure community, he was known for a few notable roles, so I wanted to go over them briefly in tribute, as well as other parts of his careern.
The first time he appeared in Precure was in a recurring role as Wisdom, the guardian of the Prism Stones in Futari wa Precure and its sequel Max Heart. Wisdom is a fine character, but not one I look back on with any particular reverence, due to his background role in the plot. Matsuno's voice does make him more memorable, though.
His second appearance in Precure was in Fresh Precure, as the mascot Tarte. Tarte is of course the main fairy of the series and honestly one of my favorites in the entire franchise, due in no small part to Matsuno's lively performance. He's funny and friendly and he has a lot of heart. As Tarte, he got to recur in multiple Precure projects long after the series was over, with his last appearance being in 2018's HUGtto! Precure special crossover episodes. Godspeed, you wonderful Kansai ferret.
Outside of those two notable roles, he also had a small part in a few episodes of Fresh as Aso, one of Love's classmates. If you remember the first episode where Love is crying because her friend got rejected by a boy, he's the boy. (don't worry it works out) He only had 3 or 4 lines but it sets the tone for Love's entire character.
Outside of Precure, Matsuno was beloved as the voices of
Koga from Inuyasha:
Agumon from Digimon Savers (Data Squad in the US):
Kindaichi Hajime in Kindaichi Case Files or The File of Young Kindaichi
Shurikenger in Ninpuu Sentai Hurricanger
And the Japanese dub voice of Spongebob Squarepants.

Obviously this isn't everything, you can review all of his roles on MAL, Anime News Network, and Wikipedia.
So as you can see, he left behind quite a legacy, and he will be missed by many, many fans.
Rest in peace, Matsuno Taiki-san, and thank you for all you did.
