I am another one with the freeze up, I ran a scan with PC Matic Antivirus. Had it done a full repair and rebooted?
There are a few basic things users can try to solve the problem of "freeze up or Matic no longer works". Here are some simple troubleshooting steps to help users resolve this issue:
Make sure JavaScript is enabled. If there is interference by a third-party application that exists in the system, temporarily disable it. If your system is running an antivirus scan, stop scanning first and then start your PC Matic Support. Temporarily disable threads running in the firewall or background and restart your Matic PC. If PC Matic cannot be run in normal mode, run it in compatibility mode. The same procedure is shown below.
o Download the new fresh PC Matic installation file. o Right-click the configuration file for the Matic PC controller and click Properties. o Click the Compatibility tab and check the Run this program in compatibility mode box. o In the drop-down menu, select the operating system.
If the Windows update doesn't work properly, PC Matic won't work, so make sure that all the latest patches and fixes have been applied to your system. If you see a pop-up window that indicates that the ActiveX control on this page is not safe, IE is too secure. For PC Matic to function properly, a moderate security zone configuration is required. Run the ActiveX Control Removal tool to resolve the issue.
