“are you even american ? dunkin over tim horton’s everyday especially when it comes to the donuts. besides, dunkin is something to get dramatic about. but damn, somebody’s saltier than a cup of ramen noodles today.”

“i think you’re being extremely dramatic, actually. there are plenty of starbucs in canada, and tim horton’s is definitely better. dunkin’s food is absolutely disgusting, honestly. you’ll understand when you try even a bagel from tim’s. i just think you’re being ridiculous. stop finding things to complain about.”

just seeing the girl’s body language was enough of an indicator to poppy that she was most likely not going to be enjoying any of what was going to leave the brunette’s mouth. lips pursed, her features changed to indifference despite the agitation bubbling up inside of her. “i know that the move is regardless i’m not an imbecile. it’s a thing called venting but evidently you’re in your own bad mood so next time i know better.” poppy replied and gave the girl her own smile. 

Pearl just stared blankly at the girl before her as she talked. Why on earth did she have to be the bearer of bad news to the primadonna right now. She sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. “Yes, yes I still do. Not that I really give a damn that you are because the move is happening regardless. I just get to be the lucky girl to fuckin tell you. My suggestion tho? Start packing and stock up on your precious bacon.” She shrugged with a pressed smile

poppy liked to think that she was one to handle her stress well despite how much her body portrayed otherwise when the time came. typically, she liked to view herself as easy-going,; especially when it came to change considering the move from new york to los angeles wasn’t as bad as her friends told her. not to mention her acceptance of the lack of dunkin donuts on the west coast was something she took better than she thought. but another country ? poppy had her doubts even if it was canada. and yeah, maybe she did become a bit dramatic when she was stressed out but it was hard not to when the constant itch under her skin seemed like it wasn’t going away any time soon. at amira’s laugh, poppy couldn’t help her lips twitching up into a smile despite her stressed state. then again, she never was able to stay in a bad mood when she was around her best friend---especially when she made such an effort to change poppy’s mood around. a laugh was soon to bubble out past poppy’s lips and she grinned, shaking her head. “how is that you’re always this awesome ? then again, i won’t question sunday morning bacon.” poppy chuckled then adding, “you’ve made the move less bad than i imagined but expect me to return the favor by taking you guys out for lunch since lazy sunday mornings are a rarity to come by---even with me stopping by with my bacon needs.”

amira couldn’t help but laugh – leave it to poppy to turn a required move for work into a dramatic ordeal. then again, moving to another country was a big change, one that required visas for the non-canadian citizens, aka something the blonde had been hounding the studio about to make sure was set. she really would do everyone’s jobs for them if she had the capacity to. “i know you can handle change, babe,” she mused. “alright, how about this, you come over e v e r y sunday and i’ll make you some bacon JUST the way you like it. i’ll get it imported from the u.s. and everything, so we don’t have to eat their excuse for bacon. – okay, maybe not every sunday because i want some quiet mornings with corey, too, but i’ll make sure you get your bacon, okay? as for tim horton’s and dunkin, there’s not much i can do… i’m sorry, pops. but N O W what do you think about the move?”

“---um ? clearly you haven’t been to the right dunkin donuts considering it’s amazing and their donuts are something i could live off of. alright, well, that’s a bit more refreshing to hear. i’ll hold out hope that there’s american bacon hidden somewhere and it’ll turn out like a treasure hunt trying to find it.”

      “dunkin’ donuts isn’t even that good. and i’m 99 percent sure that canadian bacon isn’t even made in canada. i’m sure you’ll be fine.”

“i’m not being dramatic !” poppy huffed out, bottom lip jutting out in a pout that definitely didn’t make her look like a three year old being denied a treat in line at the grocery store. she wasn’t even aware she was coming across such a way, so being called out ( joke or not ) made her become of hyper-aware of her actions and most likely had her coming across as dramatic. “if i was being dramatic you’d know. all i’m saying is that i can handle change---east coast to west coast and dunkin’ donuts to starbucks galore. what i don’t think i can handle is my bacon being tampered with ! also, i keep hearing about tim horton’s being better than dunkin’ donut. which---not possible ? but do you see why i’m having hesitations about canada now ?”

ok wow if this is trash and a giant ramble of a mess it’s nearing 1am which probably isn’t good thinking on my part since i have an eight hour shift tomorrow (today??) in 12 hours so if u hear from me kater i’m probably hating myself

but yes!! hello all i’m kristina and i’m pumped to be here with my smol beanpole poppy..aLSO fair warning this is my first time playing a female in like 500 years so if i’m horrible i give u permission to throw tomatoes at me. so yeah if after you finish reading my rambles then feel free to like this and i’ll send you a message!!

basically poppy grew up in yonkers, new york so chances are that kind of obnoxious new york accent ppl associate whenever they try to imitate it…10/10 most likely that’s me and poppy ur imitating

she’s only been in los angeles for generally a short time?? like a year and half/2 years depending on when the hallows began filming bc she moved 2 weeks before filming started after she found out she got the role of shay

so she’s still adjusting a bit to the west coast/la lifestyle since poppy pretty much grew up in nyc since yonkers was so close and is so used to everything being more fast paced...which translates into her speech which she gets told she talks to fast and can ramble off and her driving

for real u don’t want to be the passenger in her car like..she’s safe no lie but she can speed sometimes and though she doesn’t curse much...it’s that lack of a truck mouth that comes out when she’s driving and has a bit of a road rage

her mom was a kindergarten teacher while her dad was in the nypd so she gets elements of her personality from both like overall being easy-going and kindhearted from her mom while her occasional cursing streak and hardheaded ways from her dad

with both her parents jobs in no way were they poor..they were comfortable but poppy always had a bit of a champagne taste on a beer budget so her money management skills were a bit off and spent her money mainly on makeup and clothes

it didn’t help that she’s a total daddy’s girl so while her mom tried to discipline poppy like her older brother jesse...poppy had her dad wrapped around her finger with her blue bambi eyes and sunday motorcycle rides

ngl poppy’s dad is the typical cop dad who is protective of his daughter which gets fun considering what poppy gets up to in college

she never really had plans on being an actress considering her last acting experience was playing wendy in her middle school production of peter pan and nearly forgot her lines upon stepping on stage and seeing the audience

while coming across as more street smart, poppy prides herself on her brains since it shows she isn’t just another pretty face in the crowd and graduated in the top ten of her class

from which she got accepted on went to pace university in nyc which is near wall street and enter where poppy meets her future sugar daddy nathaniel  who was a 38 yr old broker that she met out to dinner in the area with a friend and their arrangement lasted the four years of poppy’s education that worked out well for the most part since it supplied her with the lifestyle she aspired for when she grew up (surprisingly she managed to save up a good amount in a savings account)

poppy got into some commercials when one of her theater major friends dragged her along to some auditions and poppy realized that she actually enjoyed it compared to her thoughts from middle school??? she managed to book gigs for commercials and small roles in like csi and svu before her agent snagged an audition for shay in the hallows

which poppy didn’t think she would even get since she was basically irrelevant compared to the ppl auditioning but she did and while her parents were a bit :// at her spending so much for a degree only to go to acting (which...lol on poppy’s part since she can pay off the loans but it’s not like she could argue back with that)

so yeah overall she’s super easy-going and can be a bit materialistic at times considering she always has something designer on at all times but she means well and loves talking to new people

she’s a bit of a flirt ?? unknowingly though?? her interest in people as a whole can come across like she’s flirting when she’s not but you’ll know when she’s flirting

she’s also quite hedonistic and believes that one should pursue the pleasures in life so she really has no regrets about her choices and does what she’ll enjoy in life without thinking of much regrets

but she can also be extremely stubborn and opinionated when she wants..which she gets from her dad but for real if she has her mind made already there’s 2% chance she’ll change 

and yeAH i rambled and there’s probably more but i’ll spare u all from more of my rambling and if u wanna plot then like this and i’ll hit u up
