despite the clay body being more resilient, there were still limits to her strength. relying on the bow to keep herself standing, forced to wait for. not that it would stop her from trying to keep going, sensing that there are more yokai around.

yet before anything more could challenge her, she could feel herself being grabbed & pulled away. at first she braced for the impact, but instead she could herself being picked up, Kikyo quick to look up. a hint of confusion appeared on her face as she was carried away from the field.

after a moment of silence to recover, she spoke up, grip on her bow becoming ever so slightly tighter. she couldn't sense any hostility, yet she wasn't willing to trust him either.

was this another person in Nice's life that he wasn't aware of? he shouldn't be surprised, after all everything that he knew about the previous person was the public image.

Lin Ling was quick to step back from the hold. however with every statement, every question he shrunk a little further, until caving in & looking away from Sora, completely breaking the character. he hit every issue on the head, except for one. & considering it'd be hard to try to deny all allegations, might as well clear that up.

❝ ...it's only because fans believe that i'm Nice. i'm not... wasn't a carbon copy of him before. besides i still don't think i am. ❞ he tried to. but even this meeting make him more sure he wasn't there yet.

the   gloomy   expression   the   other   had   on   their   face   didn't   go   unnoticed   , so   he   took   a   step   closer   ,   hand   coming   up   to   hold   a   side   of   the white haired   hero's   face.   ❝   your   eyes   ,   they're   looking   a   bit   different wouldn't you   say   ?   ❞   he   grinned   ,   like   a   cat   that   had   just   caught   its prey.

there was a lot of hesitance as he stood in front of the door of "his nemesis". Lin Ling is probably the last person he wanted to talk with. not that he'd blame the other, after all without any information he just replaced real Nice & as he had chance to witness, Wreck wasn't made aware of the change at all.

none of this sit right with him & yet, it was hard to knock now that he technically was moments away from his resolve. at least if he wasn't stuck looking like Nice it could've been so much easier. but it wasn't about him. one more deep breath & he finally knocked at the door, hoping other was home.

all she wanted was a snack & it was a prime season for the various mushrooms. though she learned from her last escapade, this time only getting a bit & any that would be considered less edible, hidden well inside her outfit, while she focused on preparing the rest as she was humming happily as she waited for the mushroom to fry, all of that came to a sudden stop, as Mao Mao felt eyes on her, happy expression vanishing as she looked up, quickly recognizing who was standing here.

❝ master Jinshi... ❞ & with that she fell completely silent, eyes quickly dropping back to the mushrooms sitting on the small cooking station in front of her. did he have a fifth sense or something? still in a pitiful attempt of the truce, she picked up one of freshly fried mushroom skewers & offered to him.
