the thing about the concepts of allonormativity/amatonormativity is that "society rewards people for desiring and pursuing romantic/sexual relationship and punishes people who dont" is not true for so so so many different categories of people for so so many different reasons to the point where the exceptions seem to outnumber the rule. i would be the first to agree that societal standards around romance and sex are completely fucked up, and i certainly have to spend a lot more time dealing with what these standards do to people's behavior than most. but amatonormativity and allonormativity are so completely the wrong words to use if you are interested in correctly identifying the origins of these norms and working to change them.
