Imagine thinking genitalia repulsion is inherently tied to sexuality.

What about straight women repulsed by penises, and straight men repulsed by vaginas? Lesbians repulsed by vaginas, and gay men repulsed by penises?

Or people who are repulsed by ALL genitals?

It IS a psychological thing, because no one is going to just naturally be repulsed by body parts.

I mean, I find feet disgusting because of personal experiences, for one. That doesn’t mean anything about my fucking sexuality or personality. Just that I think feet are disgusting, for my own reasons.

mental illness develops after you are born (with some occasional genetic risk factors), neurodivergence has to do with how you develop in utero and during early childhood.

they are completely different things.

mental illness can develop because of capitalism, but adhd and autism *can’t*. because thats not how it works.

capitalism obviously makes having either a lot harder, but there’s no correlation between capitalism and neurodivergence.

and neurodivergence IS NOT mental illness.

(and you can develop mental illnesses BECAUSE of neurodivergence. you can’t develop neurodivergence because of mental illness.)

listen you can say “capitalism makes living with adhd/autism really difficult and in a non-capitalist society these things would not be so hard and neurodivergent people would thrive better” without saying “adhd/autism are the biproduct of capitalism and everything you think is a symptom is really just being unable to cope with capitalism” like…… don’t erase neurodivergence and pretend it’s just a social phenomenon.
