Honestly my main thought process with this was between any of the seijoh third years but I thought I'd branch out a little from your husband, Iwaizumi, so here we are as Hanamaki was my first thought after him!

Matsukawa definitely takes any and all credit for you two getting together, Hanamaki denied Matsukawa’s initial advances about you claiming he could look after his own love life but Matsukawa couldn’t let it go that easily.

Matsukawa set up a “group trip” to a local festival or market and almost immediately split the group up to get you and Makki alone, little did he know you and Makki had already said something to each other by the time this trip had even been planned

Emma you’re like one of the only mutuals I know in a relationship I’m entrusting you to get with Makki before Matsukawa forces it but he’ll take the credit for yall anyway :’)

I think his fairly calm and perceptive nature would work well with your stubbornness and drive because he would just counteract most things with humour or logical reasoning.

He would also always be able to tell if your drive to do well was causing you too much stress or if you were putting yourself under too much pressure. He can be quite lazy and chilled so he will easily pull you away for a break from work.

If you thought the server had messed up your humour then oh boy, it will only get worse with him as your other comedy influence. He will make constant sugar baby jokes when he's in between jobs (as stated in the timeskip)

He promises that he doesn’t plan to live as your sugar baby forever though - he seems like an acts of service or gift giving type to me, so he does little tasks/chores so that you don't have to worry about any of them at all when he's not working and gets you gifts once he's back in his job.

“Yes, of course you can come, Yamazaki. It’s a shame they cancelled your camp last minute.” coach Nekomata, who was standing outside the gym talking on the phone, was overheard saying. “I think we have limited food rations, so if you can bring the food you would use over there that would be excellent” he was silent for a second, nodding as he listened intently. “Of course, I’ll tell the rest. I imagine they’ll be training at the same level as the boys, won’t they?” he nodded, looking inside of the gym. “Yes, I think there’s some people you would like to meet.”

The coach observed the teams from his position, analyzing movements and patterns, he was looking for the moment to call the rest of the instructors and inform them of the latest news. 

He had known Yamazaki since she was young, her older brother had been a very prominent figure in volleyball in his day and she followed in his footsteps being known as one of the best players of her years at the academy where she now worked.

She was and remained a persistent athlete who took it upon herself to always give more than she was used to. A feared figure among those who remembered her. Even from her older brother. And as a coach, one of the greatest visionaries and an exemplary role model in every way. 

Questioned by all, but especially by her male counterparts, who did not believe she had what it took to be an international player, or even to be part of a  professional team. Yet, with every step she took, she further secured the reason why she was considered one of the best teenagers the country ever had. 

Her decision to start working to train female students at the same school where she had made a name for herself was for one simple reason: it was the perfect spot to nurture top-level athletes and where girls had the opportunity to fall in love with the sport. And, out of her own mouth; the women’s national team needed a lot more visibility than it had, so there was only one way to do it, and that was to work hard from the beginning, at the starting point where the talent was raw.

That was the philosophy she showed her students, hard work and never let anyone tell you what to do, especially if it didn’t match your value. 

“Coach Yamazaki called me telling me that the girls training camp has been cancelled, I took the liberty to accept her to ours, so they will be arriving here in less than an hour” Nekomata informed the coaches, Ukai felt a soft tingle on his back, trying to remember when was the last time he had heard that name. “They are a high caliber team, so it will be an honor to have them here, let’s greet them warmly on their arrival” he mentioned, before walking to re-enter the gym. “Oh, and don’t mention to the boys that this is a girls’ team” he finished, with a mischievous grin. 

Inside the gym, the boys were in the middle of their practice games, all that could be heard, besides the squeaking of volleyball shoes on the floor and the thumping of balls on the ground, were the screams of the players, who had no idea what was going to happen in a few minutes.

Okami International Academy, an international high school that is driven by the diversity of its students, known for the dedication of the student body and work in clubs and extracurricular activities. Our girls’ volleyball team has demonstrated its efforts by maintaining a top five national team in Japan over the past five years, which has also produced students who have had the honor of representing Japan in the U19 category.

This year, the team was scheduled to participate in an intensive training camp with other national level female teams, but after several inconveniences the camp was cancelled on the day of its start. Luckily for the team, their coach Yamazaki Hikari managed to get a last minute place with the most important male teams at national level.

With a tired sigh and ready to wake Yuuji up so that he can suffer with you, you roll over in bed, only to find that you’re alone. You frown as you sit up and grab your phone from the nightstand. You wince at the screen’s brightness but when you see that it’s almost two in the morning, worry begins to bloom deep in your gut.

Yuuji had been sent on a mission today, one that he had been positive would be nothing too dangerous. But you know first-hand how quickly easy missions can go wrong.
