-Pearl went from confused, to mortified at the skin morphing, then to simply staring and blushing lightly. Scratch the demon idea, since when did her girlfriends hair shine this brightly in the sun? She was still a little concerned about how crazy Gem seemed, but only a fraction of the amount.-

A..A pleasure to meet you too, miss. I'm very sorry for calling you a demon, you make a lot more sense now.

-She of course does not understand at ALL, but she wasn't threatened anymore. Even Tilly changed, going from growling to playfully running circles around Gem.-

Gem shuffled through the forest. It was her domain now after being kicked out of the kingdom. For no good reason, mind you! Except for theft and various other crimes such as fraud... But, that's besides the point. The forest was now her domain. It was peaceful, far from the hustle and bustle of the village she grew so accustomed to.

She was out foraging, looking for something to eat for the night — just to hold her over for a while longer. She might have to rummage through Scott's house again for food or find someone to shift into in order to sneak into the kingdom (Which would probably only prolong her sentence) but-

Her thoughts came to a halt as she happened upon someone lying on the grass. It was in one of the open fields, the sun casting its lights on this... Person. Gem tilted her head to the side, a smile slowly tugging at her lips. Her teeth glinting in the sunlight as she stepped into its warm rays.

Gem tilted her head to an uncanny degree before taking on the form of whoever this person was. Her skin shifted, tugging at itself as she took on the form of Pearl. This strange, strange woman who looked so content in the forest. Strange indeed.

-Pearl stirred as she felt the presence of another around her, that and the slight shadow being cast over her. After rubbing her eyes and groaning in annoyance at being awakened she looked up, surprise dancing across her features as an incredibly familiar figure coming into view above her.-

-She was absolutely baffled at this point, not knowing what to think about this situation. This time she froze when Gem's hand landed on her face, her expression growing much more serious in spite of her laughter.-

Who are you..a demon of sorts? Clearly no real version of me to speak to her like that, or call Joel a lunatic..

-Pearl was beginning to become alarmed at this persons presence, sitting up and moving away from the hand. She snapped her fingers, Tilly awaking and immediately recognizing the person as a threat as well, growling at them.-

No one comes out here unless they're a true lunatic, not even Joel knows about this place yet.

-She didn't like how tense her previously peaceful atmosphere felt with this anxiety, still drawing a blank as to why another one of her would be here. She'd never encountered another one of her from the same universe before, it almost made her nervous that her parents were screwing with her again...-

-Pearl's been living with Joel for a while now, rarely coming into contact with the kingdom aside from the odd individual coming to Joel's shop. It was a nice, humble life she lived there.-

-For a long time she'd been doing a small project of collecting every type of flower into this small hidden away patch of forest, sunlight coming into the tiny clearing and creating it's own little world. This is where she lay, dozing in a sea of flowers dreaming of another life.-

Joel was arm deep in his cauldron when he heard the knocking at his door. He jolted and frowned when the potion from the cauldron sprayed everywhere. "Give me a moment!" he called out, grabbing a nearby towel and wiping his arms off and snapping his fingers to get rid of all the excess liquid spewed about.

Joel hadn't heard that voice before but maybe it was just a customer who came to see him in person. He brushed off his robes and walked to the door before pulling it open. He looked up at Pearl and offered her a smile. "I haven't seen you before! What can I do for you?"

-Her smile widened a bit as she heard his tale of loneliness, humming in thought. He was out here in the woods for a reason, and if Scott disliked his name being mentioned so much it was most likely not great. Nonetheless she couldn't envision him hurting a fly on purpose.-

Oh I did go to the kingdom, saved like hundreds of peoples lives. But yknow, I just didn't want their pity or whatever.

-This was only a half lie. She mainly just found it overwhelming to think about forming relationships with people that don't exist in her other "visions", knowing learning their characters would be for not as it has in the past.

When he invited her in she was surprised by the hospitality he showed, actually agreeing to her statement. She walked in, gazing around the small cabin while resisting the urge to touch any of the various magical items about.-

Scott the soldier boy says hi by the way, he's the one who led me to you.

Scott jolted awake at the sound of knocking. He rubbed his head and looked at the boarded up window, a single ray of sunlight peeking through a crack. He sighed and got up, pulling on his coat and fastening it before walking over to the door, unlatching it and then opening it.

"You again," he says in lieu of a normal greeting. He appraised her, looking her up and down. "My name is Scott, you know. Not soldier boy. You'd do best to remember that."

-Pearl crouched down, petting Tilly as she came to her, now seeking other entertainment since she'd lost her toy. She didn't bother looking back up at Scott, clearly still not too bothered by their status difference.-

In any case I taught the hospital how to treat the skulk, treating dozens of people myself. They even put my face on the bulletin board for it. Now you owe me leading me to my friends so I don't have to pester you anymore.
