The half-Bahraini, Pure Polish stallion Eumaaidan, out of Eulada. Kuheilaan Aafas Maidaan has gotten some striking offspring at the Polish state studs.

Eumaaidan is from the E-line family founded by Epizoda (Trypolis x Pieszczota), tracing back to her via Eunice, daughter of Comet and dam of Polish National Champions Eukaliptus and Europa. Eumaaidan comes from the Eubea branch of Eunice's family, the same branch as the mare TA Europe, who has been placed Top Ten in dressage at the U.S. Sport Horse Nationals several times. His second dam Eulopa is maternal half-sister to the racewinners Eulera, Everia and Eurymach, and the endurance gelding Eupado.

I have been looking at Kuheilaan Aafas Maidaan's Polish offspring, and there are new pictures of his youngest get, now five years old. I am very taken with the mare above, Afrozja, out of Afrodyzja. She is from the A-line that was founded by Alga, the 1947 daughter of Witraż and Bulwa, and about whom I have rhapsodised before, here (which goes into the story of Bulwa being rescued from a vaccine manufacturer at the end of WW II) and here (a little more information on the desert bred mare Scherife who founded the line).

I have previously posted about the Kuheilaan Aafas Maidaan daughter Poziomka, ex Pointa.

I do so love the presence and sense of power that the Bahraini stallions transmit to their offspring, as well as the quality that shines through in every half-Bahraini I have seen so far: good bodies and strong hindquarters. Many of them also seem to have legs for days.
