there are a lot of undiagnosed adults out there but i do think it's a shame that we've reached a point where having hobbies and interests past the age of 20 is seen as a touch of the tism. i know many older adults who suppress all their childish desires and throw out all their old toys and for what. are you scared of being 'weird' ? who give a shit.

I am unlikely to take anymore 1-2 week long hiatus from Bluesky, though I've left Cara due to disinterest.

Bluesky is frankly the best social media platform I've been on in YEARS...It feels like pre-2020s Tumblr, I'm primarily on there for the FNAF community and as somebody who was within the Tumblr FNAF community from 2017 to 2022, its similar to pre-Security Breach FNAFblr in my opinion.

I have not been active on Cara or Bluesky in 2 weeks and a half now. I periodically take 1 to 2-ish weeks away from those platforms, both because it takes me forever to finish artwork, but also because I have a weird sense of anxiety about posting art and interacting with communities/fandom spaces. It may be due to past experiences I've had online, fandom spaces can be so toxic, you know?

I am tempted to return to Tumblr to EXCLUSIVELY interact with queer communities (especially Aromantic, Asexual and Agender/Genderqueer ones) however, because I find that less...Intimidating, than interacting with fandom spaces.

the things alloromantics consider "more than platonic" never cease to baffle me. cuddling? sleeping next to each other? petting each others' hair? kissing? telling each other how much you mean to each other? why WOULDN'T you do these things with your friends. why DO you need to be romantically attracted to someone in order to express your affection for them.

i guess all these things feel obviously platonic to me, because i've had my friends since we were all mentally ill autistic teenagers, but it feels absurd that some people think anything beyond a hug is automatically romantic. acts of affection and their intentions are defined by the people involved, nobody else. and frankly, some of you don't know how wonderful it is, to be a sleepy aromantic embraced on all sides by a group of people you'd trust your life with.

The sentences "Asexuals can still have sex" and "Aromantics can still date" need to go up on the high shelf for everyone except aces and aros talking about their own experiences. From now on, everyone else has to use the revolutionary new phrase "Asexuals and aromantics can do whatever the fuck they want forever."

Happy pride month specifically to folks on the asexual and aromantic spectrum who oftentimes feel isolated and left out of the conversation. You belong here as much as the rest of us and I hope that you are all loved in a way that is comforting to you.

I cannot begin to explain to you the disappointment I felt on finding out that “match my freak” was a sexual thing and not a level of how insane you are with your friends
