I do friendly fire and revenge! I can't promise 100% this year due to now be employed full-time, but I'm going to try my best!

As for characters, I have humans/humanoids and among us beans. A lot of sci-fi and fantasy themes, lore, and complex relationships. I also have fan characters for among us (obviously), lethal company, minecraft, undertale/deltarune, and a d&d character!

Oooh yes do keep me posted if you end up doing that haha! It might be fun to go back and reread knowing how it all ends.

Maybe I should go back and reread it too. I don’t think I’ve reread the whole thing in order just for fun in a long while if ever.

…Of course, that requires rereading my old writing (the horror of any author) haha.

Heyy! It's been a while, hope you're doing well :)

Yes I love infodumping about artfight >:)

This may be a bit long but I tend to get pretty detailed with explanations as you probably already know haha.

Art fight is an art game taking place July of each year where people exhange art of eachother's characters for fun!

Before (or even during) the fight, you upload images or reference sheets of your characters, and there's a space to put some information about them as well! You also set your character permissions, so people know what they can't and can't do with your characters.

At start of the fight everyone who decides to participate is put on one of two teams. The team themes have nothing to do with the art you're making, it's just for fun! (You can also "traitor" and switch teams if you don't like the one you're on, or want a chance to be on both sides)

During the fight, you pick other people's characters to draw. When you draw someone's character and submit the drawing, it's called an attack! You get points for your team each time you do this. (If you attack someone on the same team as you, it's friendly fire. You get less points, but you still get points for it!)

When you attack someone (make art for someone), there's a chance they may decide to make art back for you! This is called a revenge. People are not obligated to revenge, but many people do! If you go back and forth with someone multiple times attacking and revenging, that's called a revenge chain.

This process goes both ways, someone else could also attack you first and you have the opportunity (not obligation) to revenge!

Answers to a few common questions I've seen:

- You get points based on aspects of your art (is it a sketch or lined, colored or not, is there a background, how many characters, etc) NOT based on how "good" it is. It's about effort not skill.

- You can also do many different kinds of visual art, digital, pen and paper, animation, crafts, 3d models, Minecraft skins, jewelry- there's a lot of room to be creative!

- Your characters can be completely original or fandom-based (I have both on my page, including the consequences characters hehe) you just can't upload a real person that isn't yourself or a canon character with no changes to them. Check the rules for a few other specifics when it comes to that.

- Mass attacks are when one person draws several characters typically from different people together in one image. Feel free to specify in your permissions section if this is something you like or don't like.

- If you want to participate, go ahead and save some character references before the fight! The site can get pretty slow at the beginning (although recent site updates have helped with that). Just don't start drawing anything until art fight officially starts.

(Mine is also a bit much, This will be my 8th year so I have a ton of stuff that is absolutely not necessary to participate haha. All you really need are characters you want art of and your permissions!)

My number one piece of advice for anyone joining art fight is keep it low pressure! Try it out, don't worry about how much art you're making or if you're getting to revenges, just have fun with it!

My friends and I did a presentation night and they let me do mine on the first story in the consequences series :)

I had them ‘vote’ at the meetings, and let me tell you, they were just as caught off guard by the ending as the rest of my readers haha. They really enjoyed it though!
