Just something I wanna point out when it comes to Ikeda and Sou being confirmed aroace and people being upset with the whole shipping thing. People should really stop using the term “oh but aro/ace people can still have romance/sex” because it’s essentially using more specific labels such as demi and grey to erase no attraction/repulsed aroaces to ship them. Especially with how ikeda’s a repulsed aroace. Seeing so many excuses be made up like this to erase aroace characters is annoying especially because people would get on your ass for shipping a gay character with one of the opposite gender but make so many reasons to why you can ship aroace characters and not be questioned.

As an aroace myself I really want to say this as I don’t think much people understand because of how big shipping is in fandom culture is so as soon as a character can’t be shipped because they feel no/hate attraction it becomes controversial to their sexuality itself. And we really shouldn’t be excluding purely platonic relationships as well and treating romance as something “more important”, like give me more purely platonic character relationship content! Just because a character is aroace doesn’t mean they can still have fun relationships with others.

And even if we do get any demi/grey characters in the future we should still accept them as being on the aroace spectrum and how they feel little attraction or attraction under specific circumstances rather than an allo person because they “technically can feel attraction”. Just a fandom PSA!
