Suit up for love this Valentine's Day weekend! (Because a film about kidnapping your VR-obsessed husband is romantic, right?)
Our most recent short film, "The Legend of Stella," will be screening in the "Larpers, Gamers, Dragons, Robots—Oh My!" block of GeekFest Toronto at 3:45pm PST (6:45pm EST) on Saturday, February 13th.
The screening is free but geolocked to Canada. Our Canadian friends can sign up to watch here. But if you're outside of Canada, don't worry—there will be a worldwide online screening soon!
There will also be a filmmaker Q&A after the screening on Zoom at 5:30pm PST (8:30pm EST). This event is open to everyone, no matter where you are, so come say hi!
We're also excited to announce that "Stella" has been nominated for Best Gamer Film, Best Cosplay Film, and Best Short Film! Join the awards ceremony live on Zoom at 12pm PST (3pm EST) on Sunday, February 14th. This event is also open to everyone.
We hope to see you this weekend!

Our latest short film, "The Legend of Stella," will be screening virtually tonight at POW Film Fest! Films begin at 6pm PDT, and each block will be followed by a Q&A session. Check out the trailer above and see a clip from "Stella" at 0:14!
Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite, and all proceeds go toward supporting The Clinton Street Theater, a local independent theater that has screened many Portland-made films over the years and, like most theaters, is struggling in the COVID-19 world.

It's been a while since we had anything to share, but we're excited to announce that we're wrapping up our latest short film and have begun submitting to festivals! In THE LEGEND OF STELLA, the film's titular heroine takes matters into her own hands after a failed attempt to reconnect with her VR-obsessed husband. With the help of friends and several strangers, she builds him a real-life game filled with magic puzzles, epic battles, and more than a few elaborate costumes — but will he be able to save their relationship by beating the game? Stay tuned for more updates over the next few months as we finish up the score, sound design, and color grading!

From the inbox of Sarah Medlock:
Art,
How have you been? It’s been a while since we last talked. I hope your work and travels are going well.
I was wondering, will you be back in Oregon for Mary’s high school graduation? It’s not too far off, and I feel like she’d appreciate your presence at the ceremony (though don’t be surprise if she expresses so through snark – it’s kind of her thing, in case you hadn’t noticed).
I’d also strongly encourage that you spend a bit more time with Callie this summer. It’s not really my place, I know, but Art… Callie’s been changing. Getting better, even. It’s hard to explain in an email, you really need to come home and see for yourself. Please think it over.
I attached a file the girls recently shared with me. It’s a home video Callie’s been keeping over the years. I thought you might enjoy seeing it.
– Sarah
PS. Tell Hannah I say hello and that I loved the birthday present she sent.
Sarah,
Good to hear from you too. Work and travels are going well, as usual. I hope all’s well back at home. I’ll make sure to pass your message along to Hannah.
I didn’t realize Callie still had any videos… I’ll take into consideration everything that you wrote.
Thank you for letting me know.
Art Craven
