I'm just want to show where I am with a drawing I started today. Well, drawing, it's still early sketch stage, but I'm really feeling this and I know I'm gonna be satisfied with it. It's the angle I think is the hardest, ¾-view from below, with the furthest eye hidden by the nose. Except for this I'm drawing a lot from Rare Americans movie and videos. I'm posting a doodle on my other blog, but I think I'm gonna post them here. I'm going to use this blog for whatever strikes me that day and handle my practice in private, except if I feel like posting it. Ok, my start of this sketch. I'll post where I am tomorrow:

Where have everybody gone? Alex, Blue-cat and Lucy are still here, supporting me every step of the way, but it feels like the rest of you have forgotten me🥺. I know I have a bad concept of time, I'm a little like a dog, if the owner goes out to throw the trash, the dog acts like it's been alone for 3 months when the owner comes in again. But look at the numbers, just a few weeks ago I had 30 people atleast, saying hi when I posted a drawing, then it dwindled to 20, 15, 10. When I posted Rick yesterday (ok, I said no fanart on this blog, but it was the facial expression I was after, not that it's from the walking dead comic.) I got 5 notes, and two were from bots. I'm going to do like this: I post here Tuesday and Saturday. The other days I just practice, and I choose 2 drawings every week I think people will like. My plan was really to show examples of what I did, good or bad, but that doesn't work. I just get depressed when I post and noone reacts. On the other blog I get like 30 likes for a drawing of Vaggie from Hazbinhotel or 75 for a good drawing of Jinx. I'm gonna do like this, I post here once or twice a week instead, if I managed to draw something I'm proud of. Maybe I merge the contents to one blog instead. I was supposed to do an exercise on facial expressions in my drawing course, but found myself stuck in an old Walking Dead magazine, as I often do. But I figured, why not draw Rick. He has a very expressive face in the first issues, before he goes numb by all the horror he sees. Here he has just arrived in Atlanta, calmly trotted in towards city center, found himself surrounded by hundreds of walkers and is now lying on his backside watching in horror as the zombies are eating his horse alive. It's a little messy, I did a quick sketch of the middle of the panel. What I was focusing on was to try and make Rick look scared.

I did a simple sketch today. Well, the angles ain't that simple, but I held back on the details, so I had something to post today. I'm going to start drawing 2 or more characters interacting with eachother, since I want to do a good comic one day. Here they are, high school sweethearts or something.

I managed to draw a guy today. Maybe not a very handsome guy, but atleast recognizable as male.

I post a wip today. It took a lot longer than I expected, so I have to finish it tomorrow. I had to redraw it a couple of times and my adhd only gives me about 30 minutes of focus, before I need to stop and take a break. If I'm going to continue, I have to switch drawing. Then I can continue with the first one the next day.

I drew a girl today, because I was looking forward to doing a nice drawing, but I can't seem to draw all of a sudden. I had a kind of depression for a few weeks, and didn't follow my drawing routines. I must be more careful with that. I'm still a newbie and that I can draw at all is just because I practice every day. Normally, the last month I might have been drawing one day each week instead. Here is todays drawing. It's not good, but it's not biggie, I'll just have to start practicing properly again.

This is actually supposed to be a guy. All my faces have a tendency to get a bit to feminine. I probably have to draw some more males.

Today it was body practice on the schedule. I post 2 samples. (I did 4.) They are not very nice to look at, but it's very good practice to get an instinctual sense for the proportions.

Ok, while we are on the tanned track, I might as well post this. I really don't think it's good enough to post, but if I only post the drawings when I get lucky and manage to do a drawing that's really a little better than I actually can draw and a big part of luck has played in, then the comparison doesn't get fully correct, lets say in six months when I'm comparing my latest drawings with some old to check my eventual progress. So here is the hag:

You did it again Waldo, pushed me over the edge to a new achievement. I got to mention a few more, a lot of people seemed to have forgotten about me, I haven't posted very much lately to be honest, but there are Triss in her various incarnations, marie-laure/silcos-glaucoma, Alex who always is first with liking my posts with very few exceptions and my art-moots bluecat and lucys-art-log, weareallpanickingatthedisco and localmentallyillwriter, nashusb, last but not least insufferablewhore. Just because I don't mention you here doesn't mean I value you less, but I have to draw the line somewhere. This is a pretty silly post to. On the other blog I got one of these with 250 reblogs. I love to get reblogged, so this is maybe not so silly after all. Yeah, that I write this much about it is really silly, so I quit now.

I don't know what this turned out to be? A very tanned, blond, surfer or something? I tried a very hard angle. I hope somebody knows how hard this angle is. The drawing is a bit bleak, but I think you see what it's supposed to be anyway.

So how about a blonde? Do they really have more fun? The only thing I know is that its hard as hell to draw blond hair with a pencil.

I was just drawing a little, to entertain myself, without trying to accomplish anything more than passing time. My gf though, claimed that this drawing was ok, and that I should post it. Since I have nothing else to post, I'll just have to take her word for it and pass it along to you guys.
