I think we may get a season 4 announcement next month or August. Less than a month after season 1 came out, it was announced season 2 would be Anthony's season. Less than 2 months after season 2 came out, it was announced season 3 would be Polin season. I hope Season 4 is Benophie season and I am looking forward to finding out who has been casted as Sophie Beckett.

(different anon here) Just curious, why do you think season 4 will be the last? I'm not tuned into any rumors or bts content so basically I have no idea how much we know. And what do you think s4 will be like if it is the last? How will they wrap everything up?

There were rumours a few weeks ago that filming was set to begin on June 10th, but last week at the London Premiere we were told scripts were still being written and it will take two years for season 4 to come out and that we will find out soon whose storyline it will be next season, maybe in the next few weeks. There was a hint at the end of season 3 that it would be Benedict's season.

Bridgerton is based on a book series that has 8 books in total, 9 if you include the epilogue book. I think there is a possibility we could get an announcement that the series has been renewed for season 5. This season was a success, there were good ratings and a lot of views. But ultimately Jess Brownell has made people upset with her changes and thought this season was just all over the place. She says how next season will be one of her best works I did enjoy this season but there were side stories that didn't feel necessary or it took more screen time than needed. Polin didn't feel like the main couple and they were supposed to be.

I don't really have a guess on how they will end the series if it gets cancelled, I suppose a happy ending. She did say she is not combining books in season 4 and from what we have seen from previous seasons, the ending scene is showing the lead couple happy.

Pretty sure Saphne had more than 6 minutes of sex scenes though, with all their scenes combined… I know it was a part of the plot in their case, but yeah… calling it the spiciest set expectations high. Even if they probably didn’t mean to

Though tbh for me what bothers me is not exactly not having more sex scenes (even if I’d welcome them) but that Polin didn’t feel like the main focus in their own season, especially in the second part. Saphne and Kanthony had their own issues to work through in their seasons but they never felt like they weren’t the main focus in their seasons. It felt like this season was trying to handle too many plotlines at once and like the writers forgot who this season was supposed to be about. I get we’ve known Polin since S1 and maybe the writers thought they didn’t need that amount of focus in S3, but I think precisely because of them being friends for so long and because of how hard it can often be to go from friends to lovers (because of the whole what if they don’t feel the same and I lose them, which is why Pen never said anything, she was convinced Colin would never love her) it was important to have that extra time with them in this season, to see that transition and to see them as a couple. I just feel we didn’t get enough time with them as a couple since they spent most of part 2 sad and angry and not really together. Like we didn’t really get to see them happy, you know? Idk, that’s how I feel about it

As for Cressida hopefully it isn’t true. I don’t think she deserves a redemption, even if I can understand her sometimes. She hasn’t really earned a redemption and I wouldn’t like to see her as part of the Bridgerton family (and based on what I’ve heard about Sophie, she seems nothing like her except for the blonde hair colour)

Articles kept on saying it was the longest sex scene the show has done but I wasn't counting so who knows. Sophie's story is meant to be like a Cinderella story, and Cressida ain't like Cinderella. I hope it's not true and fans of the books and most of the show fans (who haven't read the book) would not be happy with Cressida being with Benedict. I don't want to see her married to any Bridgerton.

Colin accusing her of entraping him made me angry. I know he was upset but that comment was unnecessary. He didn't even apologize for it. The show tried to ruin his character and they can make it up next season with happy Polin scenes.

Polin didn't feel like the main couple and it was meant to be their season. But we were told Colin and Pen's story is not over yet, that there is still a lot more and it seems like they are going to be one of the side stories of next season.

This is so disheartening… I have a hard time believing that was really all the Polin they filmed. Why on earth did Nicola and Luke say it was the spiciest season then? It doesn’t make sense… I wonder if Netflix is just choosing to screw fans over, once again, like they had done with fans of many shows. It feels like they’re raising a middle finger at us… I’m so disappointed. Maybe I should just go read the book, since the show really didn’t do them justice 😔

The sex scene in episode 5 was almost 6 minutes long which may be the reason why this season was called the 'spiciest. Yeah, you should read the book, I wished this season did everything from the book. I haven't enjoyed Netflix for the last few years, the only time I even pay for it is when a new season of one of my fav shows comes out.

I also saw a really ridiculous rumour, it's not popular though thank god. People are mocking the rumour and saying they are done with the show if they do it, myself included. Even though I love Polin and Kanthony, i won't pay for Netflix to watch the season if it's true. The rumour is there will not be a Sophie Beckett (book readers know who she is) next season, that Sophie will be replaced with Cressida. The person who is spreading this theory is probably one of the most well-known spoiler accounts on Instagram. However, when someone mentions her in a Reddit post, many Redditors express their dislike for her. Replies to the post she made saying this theory did not go so well, someone told her to stop taking edibles (i laughed). Cressida is returning next season and Jess said Cressida will get her happy ending, but I don't want it with Benedict. I believe season 4 is Bridgertons last season and they better not screw it up.

are there more proofs of the cuts? I don't want to get my hopes up anymore. will just have to accept that the last two episodes sucked and move on from feeling cheated. :((

Sorry for the late reply. I was replying to you but I found some things out.

I think we are so upset about the conflict lasting two episodes because the season was split into two parts. Daphne and Simon were having problems the last 2 episodes but it wasn't an issue. If you binge-watch season 3 will all the episodes now available, it's much more enjoyable. However, some of the editing in season 3 was a mess. It goes from one scene and then it cuts for 5 seconds to show Benedict having a threesome. There is no proof of scenes even existing, but one of the directors liking a comment asking for deleted Polin scenes is enough for me to know there were Polin scenes cut.

Edit: Tom Verica, the same person who liked that comment just replied to a different comment saying there was no extension scene of the brief love scene in episode 8.

Edit: Today, Tom has replied to a comment saying the deleted scenes won't be released. He then replied amen when someone said they don't need more sex scenes. Sorry, the 66 thousand people who signed the petition (so far) disagree with you.

Another edit: Nicola responded by saying we got all the Polin scenes they had. But there is more bts. I would like to see bts pictures of the last scene in episode 8. Well she said she thinks we got all the polin scenes.

And here I thought they had added that super brief sex scene in ep 8 to explain/hint at Penelope’s pregnancy… I didn’t think she could’ve gotten pregnant the first time they had sex (that makes the angst feel even worse tbh. I wonder how would’ve Colin been around her if he knew before the last episode 😔)

People were saying she told him in this scene which makes sense cause she put his hands on her belly.
