Okay it's been a while since I shared something not for my writing or crochet pages, but I've been working on watching what I eat and taking walks to help me lose weight 🙏 Its going good so far and I'm enjoying what I eat! I started doing HelloFresh when I moved out in February, and right now I get two servings of two meals a week, so I can do other meals for dinner three nights a week. I have to do lunch every day because I'm back in the office full time. :')
Anyway, just watching my calories and taking walks right now, I'm planning to orde a walking pad next payday because it's already getting SUPER hot here and I'm not about to go out in 100F+ weather and burn to a crisp. :)
As of Sunday I'm 215.8lbs again, and it's going down so I'm very happy so far. 👏 Hoping I can keep it going and stay on track.

Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, 'I will confess my transgressions to the LORD' -- and you forgave the guilt of my sin Psalm 32:5
God loves us and does not want sin in our lives. We need to come to the place where we are sorry for our sins, ask to be forgiven, and decide to turn from them. We need to uncover the sin and deal with it.
Let us look into our own hearts and ask ourselves if there are things in our lives that need forgiveness. It may be hard to do, but God will lovingly show us the areas where work is needed. We should grow in God every day, and this is a good way to start.
Let's not ignore sin. Let us deal with it. Bring it to Jesus. Allow His forgiveness to remove the sin in our lives. It may be hard to face, but we can't argue with God. When God calls it sin, it's sin.
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Psalm 51:10

God’s people had just won a decisive victory over their enemies, the Philistines, causing them to fall before His people. Then, the Samuel did something to commemorate the powerful victory and deliverance of God’s people. He took a stone and set it up and called its name Ebenezer, saying, “thus far the LORD has helped us.” (1 Samuel 7:12) He wanted the people to remember the mighty hand of God in saving His people. These words not only showed their gratitude to the LORD who had delivered them in the past, but an expectation that He will help in the future. The God who has helped us “thus far” is the same God who will help us in the future. Remember the past victories God has given. Remember how Jesus saved you and delivered you in times past and you’ll be encouraged to know that He’ll save you and deliver you in times present and times future.

Teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
—Psalm 90:12
Life is a temporary assignment.
Like the psalmist we need to ask the Lord to help us number our days—so we will realize we have been given only limited time here on this earth. What really matters is how we use the days He gives us.
And that raises some important questions: How will we use the remaining days of this year? Will we use them in the way the Lord wants us to? Will we use them to serve Him and to serve the people God places on our path? Are we willing to use our gifts and talents, our resources and our time to build His kingdom in whatever place He puts us?
Prayer
Father in Heaven, help us to understand that You have given us another year to serve you. Make us faithful in our calling. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit.
— Romans 8:9
We show who is in control of our lives by the way we live! Our actions and behaviour should be like that of Christ.  So let's live under the control of the Spirit -- obeying the Word and following the Spirit's lead -- so we can show and share Jesus in what we say and do!
Prayer: Dear Father, please help the beauty, grace, and holiness of Jesus to be seen in me. May my life show the  fruit of the Holy Spirit in all I do today and every day and lead me in the way I should go. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits. Psalm 103:2
As we are on the second day of the new year, let us not forget to thank God for what He has done for us in the year gone by, how He was with us in the good times and the bad, how He never left our side... How He has protected us, healed us, provided for us and forgave us... How He daily loaded us with benefits! How His grace was sufficient for us. Let us count our blessings and name them one by one.
Let's also thank Jesus for the year ahead. The One who was with us last year , is the same God who will walk with us through 2025 too. Let's thank Jesus for the many good plans He has for us.
Lord, teach us to always praise You and count our blessings. Help us not to grumble but be thankful and not take for granted the blessings You have bestowed upon us. In Jesus name I ask. Amen

“For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” -Isaiah 9:6
It’s more than a nice story. It’s more than a holiday myth. The birth of Jesus Christ was an event that changed the course of human history. God in the flesh come to save us from our sins.
God is not willing that any should perish. The Creator of the universe loves you so much that He sent His Son to offer every single person on this earth the chance to be saved from eternal damnation due to the sin we commit. Jesus died to give you that chance. He loves you enough to die for you. Without Him, ever single one of us is lost.
This season is not important because of the presents or the lights or even the time with family and friends. The meaning of this holiday is, first and foremost, a celebration of the coming of Jesus Christ as our Redeemer and Savior.
Praise the Lord for His indescribable gift! Merry Christmas to each of you!!✨💖🎄
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” -John 3:16
