Getting into Dragon's Dogma recently since it was on sale on Steam and Capcom just released the trailer for it's sequel. At the start of the game I didn't expect much since it's 10 years old already but my god color me impressed 😩. I'm specially fond of the game design of the pawn system, really love how their AI assist the player both in combat and explore.

Having them loot every crate and corner and carry all the stuff feel like someone doing all the housework for you, which would feel like it's nothing worth mentioning but to a loot goblin like myself, it's really a big help and lifted my burden of having to loot everything in my line of sight and meet with inventory management afterward, this really does enhance my gaming experience and I wish more games would do this. Not to mention I like how they are all chatty and seem to have a lot to say regarding different situation, location and even remind us to double sure which road lead to our desired destination when we encounter a fork, or be careful around the edge. Their dialogues liven up the entire game so much more and make this journey not so lonely. Although some of the lines get old really quick but I think it's a part of their charm.

The class mechanic is such a wonder too, I usually main Mystic Knight and Sorcerer. Loving how the Sorcerer's spells are so impactful and make me feel like a god calling forth natural disaster into the battlefield. And MK is a very well executive vocation, I really thought this was just gonna be a fighter with some half asses combination of physical and magic, but to my surprise this class offers a lot versatility in both ranged and melee combat, as well as elemental damage. A shame that they won't be back for DD2 but the new Mystic Spearman seem very interesting too so I will give that one a try when the game come out.

Also, I played through the ending and BBI and the feels hit me like a truck, goddamn I really thought this was just gonna be an archtypical JRPG with the chosen one motif and the story would end with slaying the big bad red dragon 😭😭😭. Though, I wish they would elaborate more about the worldbuilding and the cycle throughout the main quest rather than dumping all of it in the ending.

Overall this is a great game and has made it way into my top 3 games list. Really wish I had played it sooner 😢

Although I personally prefer some slim, acrobatic-ish bodytype for Astarion. At the same time, I do wonder if we also take into account the well-defined six packs he has as canon, would it be a stretch if I think that, since he is a very vain person and has never seen his reflection once for over 200 years, he needs to relied on other people's comment about his face to affirm his believe that he looks beautiful, so his pride is just like a sandcastle that can easily be topple (like how you gaslight him he has a big ass hideous mole lmao).

But his body is what little remain of himself that he can still see and have control over. The only part of himself he still have the freedom to shape and mold however he desire, and moreover, he is able to witness every change it made. That's why I would like to imagine he worked out a lot to achieve the current ripped state, not only to have some assurance in his beauty, but this is also some little act of rebellion, if he can still improve himself in this damned undead body that Cazador has cursed him with, then perhaps he hasn't truly lost it all to the bastard, a hopeless belief that he hasn't yield himself up entirely.

So, we all know at the circus every companion will have serious beef with you if you prompt them on the stage with the clown right? But then there is my girl Minthara.

(Yes she still threaten you with violence and stuff but look at this baby doll face my wife is so cute and adorable and deserves to commit all the murder she desires 🥰)

Anyway this is not the main point I wanna talk about. When you keep on trying to get Minthy on the stage by baiting her with (I heavily assume and whole-heartedly believe to be) her favorite joke.

Surprisingly she will give her approval and actually tell the joke while proceeding to the stage 🥲

Like she was literally intending to go up there and tell the people her jokes??? You CANNOT tell me that this woman didn't think she was all hotshit walking up to the stage, going through all the corny ass jokes in her head, thinking she was gonna show the crowd what peak humour is. But then the whole fuckery the clown pulled afterwards just ruined her chance, MY CHANCE to see her in the spotlight proudly torment the audience with her collection of dad puns 😭

Oh I think I wasn't clear enough when I said Astarion has no interest in music, what I meant to said is that he has no interest in music on a technical level since this scene is about you and the dragonborn discussing what benefit worg hair can have on a lute, not that I meant Astarion doesn't enjoy music altogether.

I don't know if there is anyone else that has talked about this. But if you play as a bard, you can have a special interaction with a dragonborn who is the owner of a musical shop located next to Figaro's shop.

He said that he is experimenting with lute strings made out of worg's hair and you two kinda got lost in the conversation. And what kinda interests me though is the one that approves of this.

Like I can understand Gale, he is like a child, beaming with curiosity about all the things in the world so I'm not even surprised if he also contributed to the conversation at some point. But Astarion? As far as I know my man has like, zero interest in music whatsoever. So it kinda makes me giggle up inside thinking that he probably just stands there for the whole time, being dumbfounded cause he can't really understand what you two are talking about and what is so special about it (I mean lute made out of worg's hair??), but still he approves because he likes Tav being a nerd and passionate about their special interest and it's so freaking adorable!

Artist friends, let me just tell you a thing. FUCK Wacom. Fuck Wacom and their planned obsolescence, fuck Wacom and their broken drivers, fuck Wacom and their over-priced tablets. For years we’ve dealt with them with no alternatives but let me tell you a thing.

I recently found out my Intuos 4′s Pen had broken and rather than spend £60-89 for a new one I decided to get a new tablet. Now, I could get the new “Intuos” (which is just the re-branded Bamboo) and i was going to until I found this beast.

This is the Huion  H610, it has almost twice the drawing space of the low-end Intuos and double the pressure levels. The one and only negative is that the pen requires a battery.

Not only that, it is larger than my Intuos 4 which I paid £150 for back in the day. Know how much this cost? £55. The same as the basic Intuos.

I am in LOVE with this thing. Let’s compare this with the lowest of the low end Wacom Intuos line.

It’s time Wacom had some real competition in the market, if you’re looking for a new tablet please consider a Huion over a Wacom. I used to be a Wacom fanboy too but now?

All I can find is good reviews on this thing and people doing the same thing I am doing, trying to convince people it’s worth it. So… You have the information, use it as you will.
