To those saying they do not know how to write image descriptions for graphics here a small tutorial. keep in mind we can go into a large amount of detail with ID's because we are writers outside of tumblr. Please know you do not need to be elaborate with the details simply ID's are alright as well. I will start off with images, especially complex ones, because this is a huge one people struggle with. I will give an example with the graphic below
(all art is official from LoL, and the graphic was created by us)
Tumblr media
First you are going to want to start off by understanding composition. What is the main focus in the image and from there what details are most important. in this image there are 4 main elements. I will start with the main focus of the image then go into the background doing my best to explain what we are looking at. Below is 2 examples of first is a longer more indepth example the second is a shorter one.
[Longer description ID]
Image ID: there is a pastel pink portrait photo with the text 'Yummi' in an off white colour with a bright pink border. Inside the image is a white cat with pink accents sitting on a book. The background of the photo is sky blue with clouds and pink effects. On the right of the image of a cat who is mostly white with pink accents, the cat is on top of a floating book and it has a slightly transparent shadow underneath it. behind the portrait is a bright pink curtain with 2 bows on either side of the image. behind both images is a light pink circle shaped lace texture.
[End of long ID]
[Shorter ID]
Image ID: A graphic with 2 photos of a white cat with pink accents. one is in a pastel pint portrait photo with text that says 'Yummi' in an whiteish colour with a bright pink outside. behind that is a bright pink curtain and a light pink circle lace.
[End of short ID]
Tips - do not use the characters name as a replacement for explaining the characters look as it does not help those who may not know that media. Avoid using hex code colours. Instead, use terms like dull / bright / soft / muted / dark / neon to describe colors. For those who are colourblind or may not know the colour, you can ask friends, ask in servers you might be in, or just try your best. Lastly, if you are someone like me who has a chronic illness and has days were trying is hard you can see if someone else can help you with the ID or keep it simple. Image IDs do not need to be complex, they can short as long as people can get a general idea of what the image is.

Someone missed the point. The point is that if no one teaches. Also btw Sexuality is NOT natural and not everyone experiences sexual attraction, look at asexuality. Even then, you wouldn't teahc your kids about STDs? The rick of pregnancy? Condoms? Birth Control?
If you don't teach your kid the safety of the internet, they could endanger themself. If you don't teach your sex ed, they could endanger themself.
The point of the post is to educate your kids. Don't fucking brush it off as 'They aren't comparable because of this!!' they are. 100%. The point of the post was to tell people to educate their kids on topics that are important for their OWN SAFETY.

Sort of a response take: If you're upset hearing about introjects, look at it from a different perspective.
The reason why introjects are talked about constantly and why many people give us reassurance is because our existence is always being ridiculed.
You get called fake, annoying, weird, cringe, etc if you have introjects. Not to mention that BEING an introject is sometimes extremely difficult and scary for us.
Not being in your own body, having memories of people and places that NEVER existed, sometimes being confused and feeling lost because you're not in the right time period, wondering where your family is, etc etc I could go on for days. It's horrific.
I understand being frustrated when you want to see more variety in a community, when you want more educational content or personal life experiences, but I need you to think about the countless introjects who rely on, or take extreme comfort in, the posts that tell them they're allowed to exist.
- sincerely, an introject who fucking hates it here

i made this instagram post !!! there isn't as big of a community of AAC users on instagram so I thought I would share this on my instagram (@cytochromesea).
EDIT: i got an ask that states that not everyone knows what AAC is which is an oversight on my part, it stands for alternative and augmentative communication!
Image ID:
A light blue background with a rainbow and a cloud and some stars. There is a blue border collie with wings holding an aac tablet that says I love you! Text reads: AAC etiquette. Do’s, Don’ts, and other stuff. By cytochrome sea.
The same background appears in every following slide. Text reads:
AAC is my voice! It is not a toy or accessory
Don’t touch my AAC without my permission
Don’t take my AAC away from me, for any reason (joke, punishment, etc)
Don’t press buttons randomly or flip through my communication cards without permission
How would you like it if I randomly poked you on the mouth and throat (or on your hands if you sign)? It would be unpleasant, so don’t do that to me
Some AAC users can speak sometimes. It is not your business why someone can or cannot talk
Don’t ask questions about why an AAC user cannot speak.
Do let us communicate however is best for us in that moment
Don’t ask us if or when we will be able to speak verbally. It’s not your business
Do not value verbal speech more highly than AAC. Any communication is good communication
Some of us never talk, either, and that’s ok! Those of us who can talk sometimes are not better than those of us who can’t. None of us owe you an explanation for our use of AAC.
Don’t look at my screen until I show you. It feels really invasive!
It feels like when someone is looking at your phone screen over your shoulder, so please don’t do this
This applies to low tech AAC as well, don’t look at someone’s cards or letter board until they show you
You have the dignity of forming your thoughts in your head before you say them, whereas my thoughts are all on display. Please afford me the same dignity that you get automatically.
Don’t shame someone for not being able to speak verbally. It makes us feel horrible
We are real people with thoughts and feelings. Please treat us with kindness.
We are trying our best
Don’t shame someone if their device mispronounces a word. It’s quite literally out of our control.
Other Don’ts. Don’t
Don't Treat an AAC user as childish or stupid for not being able to speak. Our ability to speak does not define our worth
Don't Show frustration at the way someone communicates
Don't Make comments about how fast or slow we communicate
Also don’t…
don't Act surprised when we swear or talk about adult topics like sex, drugs, or violence. We are not pure uwu precious smol beans, we are normal fucking people
don't Assume what is “wrong” with us. There are about a hundred reasons for someone to use AAC and you probably aren’t the expert in any of them.
“OK, so what CAN i do?” im glad you asked! When interacting with an AAC user, DO…
Ask us how we prefer to communicate and support us as you are able
Assume that we are competent
Talk to us with the same respect, tone and vocabulary that you would for any one else
Give us money (this one is a joke)
Understand that AAC grammar isn’t perfect and we are doing our best
Is it rude if…
I can’t understand your device? Not rude! Misunderstandings happen all the time in any conversation, just be patient as you would normally.
I want to complement your AAC? Not rude!
I ask to see your AAC and understand how it works? This isn’t rude if you are already talking about AAC, but don’t ask random strangers this. They don’t owe you an AAC tour.
Thank you for listening! This post is for the community! If you are an AAC user, let me know if I missed something in the comments and I will pin it! I hope you are filled with peace and love and I hope something good happens to you today! End ID.

Hey, if you’re one of the people that mock or make fun of someone who considers themself to be a BPD yan or want to say they’re “just being edgy,” please leave my blog.
People with BPD can take back using yandere as a term. We deal with obsession and can be in love so much that it physically hurts and we have to do something even if it means hurting ourself or someone else to get that out. Majority of the times, those with BPD and myself will hurt overselves because we feel we deserve it because someone doesn’t love us even though we try so hard to be appreciated, loved, and wanted.
We’ve had to deal with not being good enough and being left behind by people we thought cared about us, we deal with extreme abandonment issues.
So to make fun of trauma survivors, call them “edgy,” “freaks,” or just be mean in general, you should self-reflect and try and think of why you’re being rude to people that label themselves as something they should be able to take back. There’s so many different ways someone could be a yandere.
People with BPD don’t have to fit your stereotype, we don’t have to fit yan stereotypes either. But that’s a term that we can and should be able to take back because of how our obsessions make us feel and how they can cause us problems.
I find happiness in calling myself a BPD yan because it describes how my BPD affects me. I shouldn’t be the product of your jokes and “games” because you think it’s fucking funny to mess with trauma survivors.
There are people genuinely mocking BPD yans and acting obsessive to make them feel wanted, like we belong, like we can finally be understood, and could potentially have a partner that understand us and our struggles. Then those people stab people in the back because they think it’s “fun.” Instead of mocking actual trauma survivors, you could spread word around that mocking and making fun of someone or using them as a “game” isn’t fucking right and is terrible.

We used to think that we needed an innerworld to be a valid system because everyone was talking about theirs, so we made one up. We never had one. We have aphantasia and felt invalid because we didn't have one
If you're a system and you feel invalid because you don't have an innerworld, they aren't required.

This goes for either side of the argument: DNIs are on a person's blog for a reason.
If a person doesn't feel comfortable interacting with a certain group of people, that choice should be respected. Boundaries are fundamental for a person's mental well being.
