The problem isn't the over designed twinks or the silly horse girls or the goofy cookies it's the gambling. You guys know it's the gambling right? I need to you all to know the problem with gatcha games is that they're just normalizing gambling addictions to younger generations.

For the purpose of this poll, books in the same world but not Directly sequels count. If they're grouped on Goodreads, it counts. So like, Percy Jackson but also Magnus Chase count as the same series.
#i clicked 5-10 because i thought 9 was the longest but then prev tags reminded me warriors exists#so its at least 12 that ive read. possibly more but im not gonna check

🇺🇸recall of eggs due to multi-state salmonella enteritidis outbreak🇺🇸
95 linked illnesses and 18 hospitalizations from 14 different states so far. this outbreak strain of salmonella enteritidis has some antibiotic resistance. eggs were sold in grocery stores under brand names nagatoshi, misuho, and nijiya; and also in bulk for food service as country eggs.
the FDA notes that while the contaminated eggs were confirmed to have been sold in nevada and california, they may have been distributed to other states, and there is no comprehensive list of where the contaminated eggs were distributed at this time.
although illnesses linked to this outbreak date back to early january, only eggs sold relatively recently are being recalled. this outbreak may have already sickened thousands of people.

note: top-down visual on one of the recalled egg brands (misuho) is missing.

Country Eggs, LLC of Lucerne Valley, CA is recalling our LARGE BROWN CAGE FREE SUNSHINE YOLKS because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections ( ie. infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis. The LARGE BROWN CAGE FREE SUNSHINE YOLKS were distributed in California and Nevada. Product was delivered to grocery stores and food service distributors.
emphasis mine. the recall announcement from country eggs LLC was made on august 27, and the outbreak was declared august 27-28, depending on how you count.
currently, all eggs being recalled in association with this outbreak are large brown cage-free eggs. these eggs were sold both in grocery stores and to food service locations in bulk. locations like restaurants, schools, hospitals -- places where customers do not typically know what brand of eggs are being used. the wording of the investigation mentions sick people had exposure to "eggs or egg-containing dishes" which means people (probably) got sick from food orders.
the contaminated eggs were confirmed to have been sold in california and nevada, but they may have also been sold in other states. especially considering 14 states have reported illnesses.
Product was packed in individual retail cartons bearing carton brand names: Nagatoshi Produce Code Dates sell by: 7/1/25 through 9/18/25 No. CA 7695 Misuho Code Dates sell by: 7/1/25 through 9/18/25 No. CA 7695 Nijiya Markets Code Dates sell by: 7/1/25 through 9/18/25 No. CA 7695 Packed 1/15 DZ Bulk for Foodservice: Country Eggs LARGE BROWN SUNSHINE YOLKS Code Dates sell by: 7/1/25 - 9/18/25
the grocery store carton brand names are nagatoshi produce, misuho, and nijiya markets. the bulk eggs are labeled as country eggs. sell by dates of the recalled eggs range from july 1, 2025 to september 18, 2025. according to the FDA, the recalled eggs were sold between june 16, 2025 and july 9, 2025.
only top-down pictures for the nagatoshi, nijiya, and bulk food service have been uploaded. no misuho top-down picture has been uploaded at this time. I (rune) hope this gets corrected soon. the recall says 92 cases of illness have been linked to this recall, while the investigations say 95 cases linked.
country eggs LLC has halted production of these eggs as the source of contamination gets investigated, but the sell-by dates go into mid-september, so these are still in fridges.
if you have any of these contaminated eggs, do not eat them. wash and sanitize anything they may have touched. the recalled eggs can be returned to their place of purchase for a refund.
now onto the outbreak investigations.
95 illnesses have currently been linked to this outbreak with 18 hospitalizations and 0 deaths across 14 different states with illness starting dates from january 7th, 2025 to august 3rd, 2025. the vast majority of linked illnesses come from california. salmonella can take between 6 hours and 6 days to cause illness after eating contaminated food, and that illness typically lasts 4 to 7 days.
it is estimated that only 1 in 29 people who get sick from salmonella get diagnosed, which brings the estimated number of people sick from this outbreak to well over 2,000. once an illness is diagnosed and reported, it then takes 3-4 weeks for that case to be linked to any given outbreak. so if someone got sick, saw this outbreak announcement today (august 28 2025), and reported it today, their illness would not be listed until well into september.
Large brown cage free "sunshine/omega-3 golden” yolk eggs sourced from Country Eggs, LLC, were delivered to grocery stores and food service distributors in California and Nevada between June 16 and July 9. FDA is working with the firm to determine if eggs were distributed elsewhere and will update the advisory as information becomes available.
emphasis mine. as it frequently happens, this is yet another pain in the ass situation where some distribution has been confirmed (in california and nevada), but there is no one list of everywhere the contaminated eggs wound up. neither the confirmed distribution nor the list of states with linked illnesses represent a comprehensive list of where the contaminated eggs ended up. the FDA is trying to track this information down and the investigations will be updated as more information becomes available.
current list of states with linked cases: AZ, CA, FL, GA, HI, IA, MN, NC, NE, NM, NV, NY, PA, and WA.
...bacteria from 94 people's samples had predicted resistance to nalidixic acid and nonsusceptibility to ciprofloxacin (NSC)...
although most people recover without medical care, this outbreak strain of salmonella enteritidis has antibiotic resistance. as a quick reminder, because cipro is mentioned: fluoroquinolone antibiotics like ciprofloxacin are dangerous and potentially deadly to people with certain medical conditions, including hypertension and connective tissue disorders like marfan syndrome and ehlers-danlos syndrome.
the CDC says that this outbreak strain of salmonella enteritidis is related to one of the strains being tracked in the ongoing salmonella outbreak due to backyard poultry, which currently has 429 linked cases, 93 hospitalizations, and 2 deaths across 47 states.
investigations into this outbreak are ongoing. expect the investigation pages to be updated with more information in the near future.
thanks for reading, stay safe and take care!

since apparently this is controversial, reblog with your country in the tags and whether or not you think noodles and pasta are the same thing
#canada. IMO pasta is a dish with noodles#saying noodles themselves are pasta is like saying that bread alone is a sandwich#it also depends on the type of noodle to some degree. spaghetti in marinara? obviously pasta#soba in marinara? thats a choice.
