How to say “no” without explaining yourself
Saying “no” isn’t easy, but it is necessary for your wellbeing and it will provide room for the things you actually want. Keep in mind you do not need to justify your reason for saying no. Here are some examples:
Thank you for thinking of me, but I have too much on my plate right now.
Not for me, but thanks.
Not today, but thank you.
I appreciate you thinking of me, but I’m afraid I’m already booked that day.
I don’t have time right now. Let me recommend someone who may be able to help you.
I want to do that, but I’m not available until ______.
Thank you for asking, but that isn’t going to work out for me.
I can’t put anything else on my calendar this month.
Thank you, I’ll have to pass on that.
I really appreciate you asking me, but my time is already committed.
This sounds like a great opportunity, but I have to pass. Thank you for considering me.
Let me tell you what I can do ______.
None of those dates work for me, but I would love to help. Send me additional dates.

Guys I’m so happy, I finally didn’t suck ass at my translation today. Last week I worked on it probably two hours more than I usually did and today after reviewing it, my professor told me there was a lot less errors than I usually had, and she mainly just had word choice changes.
Hard work pays off! Who knew? Lol

I went to the town hall today to get some documents for starting my freelance career and it looks like the city council has published a new integration brochure, but still hasn’t bothered to hire a professional translator. Therefore, you now get to enjoy these terrible translation highlights from just the foreword (because I couldn’t be bothered to read any further).
“People from many kinds of regions and nations come to us for the most varied reasons with a view to settling in [city name].”
“These so-called new citizens now belong to us.”
“In order to enhance this development we have summarized in this brochure…”
“We all winners here, profiting from a harmonious togetherness and mutual goodwill…” [no, I didn’t forget the “are”]
“You can find supporting offers in the areas of family, health, children,…”

Today I made a plan for winter break studying. I think I can do it, even though I’ll be running around Tokyo and Osaka all break!
(Kinda have to do it even if I can’t do it haha. It’s for my case study.)
