Hello little ones!

Today we're having a rather difficult day and just went to the dentist. Lets do a comfort short fic where a cg goes with you to the dentist!

CW: fear, and dentist stuff (obviously)

You were quietly humming your favorite songs in the back seat as your caregiver drove into the parking lot. You wanted to show you were big and strong but now that you were there you shrank in your seat and whined. Your caregiver got out of the front seat and opened the door to your side with a soft smile.

"Hey kiddo, it's alright." They said softly as they reached around and unbuckled your seatbelt, "I'll be with you the whole time." They reassured you but you still felt nervous as you hopped out of the car and held onto your caregiver's hand.

They lead you into the building where the smell of toothpaste and metal made you scrunch up your face. Your caregiver pointed at a corner with toys and games and it felt like everything was a little lighter. You happily skipped over and took a seat, you started by stacking colorful blocks into towers and buildings, making wooden cars drive through the little city you made, then you found little toy animals and made them drive the cars around and act like people. Your imagination was running wild with all the little toys you found but it was cut short when a dental assistant called your name. You took your caregiver's hand again and hid behind them as the assistant lead you to a chair in a room that had drawers and computers all over.

"I'm gonna have you sit right here." The assistant said patting the chair, "They can sit right next to you if you want!" The assistant seemed nice enough..

You looked up at your caregiver before making your way onto the chair. Next thing you knew, you were being lowered down so they could see your teeth. You squeezed your eyes shut and tightened your hands into fists until you felt a hand on yours..

It was a familiar hand and all at once you knew, you were safe. It was your caregiver.

Before you knew it, it was over! The dentist gave you a small bag full of little things like a toothbrush, a sticker, and a sucker! One of the main things you were focused on was a little hedgehog toy! It had rubber on the back that you fidgeted with in your hand, you named it Hedgy. Your teeth were a bit sore but your caregiver was there the whole time like they said they would be so it wasn't so bad. You held the sucker up to your caregiver when you left the building so they would open it.

Maybe the dentist wasn't so bad.

Au: I hope this wasn't too bad, I need to get back into writing again.. I know it probably wasn't great but then again I'm having a pretty bad day. Anyway, I'll write more in the future I promise!
