Pov: MC leaves bird Julian alone in the shop, when he/she comes back, they just saw Julian sleeping on a nest that he made. (Probably using things from the shop)

I never drew Asra before, and I wanted to try out full-illustrations after a long while. Sooo- not so proud of it but i can see the improvement!

oh randomly throwing this in now cause I forgot about it but feel like its worth adding, but I've also sorta headcanoned that like before the deals with the devil valdemar was like a genuine doctor, and that part of their first steps into dealing with the devil was the failure to save their patients and such.

I mean, I'm new to the game and I've only played julian's route, so I'm looking at it from that perspective (and might be missing lore from other routes), but I think it's kinda cool to see valdemar almost as a character parallel to julian, if he was arrogant instead of self-depricating. someone who was supposed to save their patients but couldnt, saw that as a unforgivable personal failure, and was willing to do anything, anything, to make sure it didn't happen again.

and at a certain point they just snapped. anakin skywalker style. they made so many deals that eventually the devil got control over them and warped their reality and sense of self into the valdemar we see in game. someone who's lost all touch with what they were even trying to achieve in the first place, all in the name of finding some sense of control and consistency.

idk maybe I'm going to far with the headcanon and should just make an oc at this point, but hey I love a good tragedy and also coming up with random backstories and stuff. sorry for rambling lol

i totally agree with you wrt your take that valdemar used to have deep human connections way back when. cause like. their obsession with cheating death and things staying the same forever had to come from SOMEWHERE right. this is absolutely a person who saw their beloved mamà age and die and completely lost their mind

x ohhhhh I hadn't thought of that.... yessss hahaha YESSSSSSSSS and them becoming completely cold after losing their mother could mirror their reaction in the reversed end. like why even get attached if losing things hurts that bad? its better to not try to begin with. but then at that point youre not really living

also. this got me thinking. bc I kind of didnt want to give Valdemar a dad BUT YOU KNOW WHAT I COULD DO. I could just give them 2 moms, and then that would mirror Reise having 2 dads
